MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Arrival
Begin the flare with progressive back pressure and keep it coming until the sink is arrested, rather than flying it on flat.
What happened: The nose was barely raised in the flare and little of the sink was taken out, flying the aircraft onto the runway. This pattern usually carries through to a firm touchdown with a noticeable sink rate.
Watch for: Vertical speed indicator: a smoothly reducing sink through the normal flare band, not a steady rate into the runway.
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,622 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 121 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Wonsan Kalma International Airport, the Boeing 737-600 began its journey with a smooth taxiing process, taking just 3 minutes to reach the runway. As it rolled down runway 33L, the aircraft accelerated to a liftoff speed of 143 kt, clearing the ground at a distance of 980 meters, which accounted for 41% of the runway's length. The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 14 °C, with a gentle wind blowing at 2 kt from a direction of 87 °.
As the aircraft climbed away from Wonsan, it began its enroute climb, which took 44 minutes to reach a cruising altitude of 40,005 ft. This ascent covered a distance of 328 nm, with the aircraft gaining an impressive 39,022 ft in altitude. Following a brief level cruise phase, the aircraft continued its journey, covering 901 nm in 124 minutes. The descent phase began 33 miles south of Haimen, China, where the aircraft lost 35,094 ft in altitude over a distance of 135 nm in just 20 minutes. The final approach to Hong Kong International Airport was executed from the east, with the aircraft touching down on runway 25C at a speed of 127 kt and a distance of 422 meters, which was slightly longer than the target touchdown distance.
The landing was followed by a smooth rollout, with the aircraft maintaining a very good alignment with the runway. The total landing distance of 915 meters accounted for just 27% of the runway's length. After a brief taxiing period, the aircraft came to a stop at the gate, having completed a total flight distance of 1,387 nm. The flight duration was 199 minutes, and the aircraft consumed 8,705 kg of fuel during the journey. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 28 °C, with a gentle wind blowing at 4 kt from a direction of 170 °.
The Boeing 737-600 touched down on runway 25C at VHHH Hong Kong International Airport with a good threshold height, allowing for a smooth transition from the approach to the touchdown phase. The threshold speed of 133 kt was slightly above the target, but still within acceptable limits. The aircraft maintained a steady descent, touching down at a speed of 127 kt, which was a little fast but not excessively so.
The touchdown distance of 422 m was good, indicating a well-controlled approach and a smooth touchdown. The touchdown rate of -288 fpm was fair, suggesting a slight loss of control during the touchdown phase. However, the runway touchdown alignment was very good, with the aircraft remaining centered on the runway. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 28 °C and a light wind of 4 kt at 170 °, contributed to a stable approach and touchdown.
The total landing distance of 915 m was 27% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short rollout. The runway rollout alignment was very good, with the aircraft remaining centered on the runway throughout the rollout phase. Overall, the landing was scored 98.4%, reflecting a high level of proficiency and control throughout the approach, touchdown, and rollout phases.
