The airfield lies along the north side of State Route 530, running roughly west to east through the town of Darrington, in the North Cascades foothills of Snohomish County, Washington. It sits within the broader Mountain Loop Highway and Sauk River area, in country dominated by Whitehorse Mountain and Glacier Peak.
Darrington has a single physical runway, 10/28, 2,479 feet long with a hard surface and runway lighting. There is no ILS or other instrument approach equipment.
