Its runways, at nearly 12,000 feet, are among the longest in Canada, which makes the field an interesting stop for a virtual pilot flying heavy or unusual types.

Montreal Arrival is available on 124.65 MHz, 132.85 MHz and 268.3 MHz, with Montreal Departure also on 132.85 MHz. A VFR radar advisory service is provided on 134.15 MHz, and apron advisory calls are made on 122.4 MHz. Runway 06/24 is equipped with an ILS for instrument approaches.
