Combolcha Airport (HADC) serves the twin towns of Kombolcha and Dessie in Ethiopia's Amhara Region, sitting at a lofty 6,089 feet amid the northern highlands. It offers a single hard-surfaced runway and represents a relatively modern replacement for an earlier dirt airstrip that once served the area.
Combolcha Airport lies in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia, close to the town of Dessie and the industrial centre of Kombolcha, from which it takes its name. It is a modest single-runway aerodrome set at high elevation in the Ethiopian highlands, of interest to the simulator pilot chiefly for its dramatic mountain setting and its role as a replacement for an older, more rudimentary airfield in the same area.
The airfield is located in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia, near the towns of Dessie and Kombolcha, at coordinates 11.1014 N, 39.7272 E.
Combolcha has a single physical runway, 17/35, of 5,164 feet with a hard surface. There is no ILS installed.

Combolcha Airport was built as a new facility to serve Kombolcha and Dessie, with construction beginning in 2010. It replaced an earlier Kombolcha airport that used a dirt runway, located a short distance away at approximately 11 degrees 4 minutes north, 39 degrees 42 minutes east.
