Friday Harbor Airport (KFHR) sits on San Juan Island in Washington's San Juan Islands, just southwest of the town of Friday Harbor itself. The airport lies just southwest of the town centre of Friday Harbor on San Juan Island, within easy walking distance of downtown. Traffic in the area is coordinated with Whidbey Approach/Departure on 118.2 MHz.
Friday Harbor has a single physical runway, 16/34, measuring 3,366 feet with a hard surface and runway lighting. There is no ILS approach.
The Common Traffic Advisory Frequency (CTAF) is 128.25 MHz. Whidbey Approach/Departure provides air traffic services on 118.2 MHz, and the field's ASOS weather broadcast is on 135.675 MHz.

It has long supported freight and passenger movements to and from the mainland, including historic use of aircraft such as the Beechcraft Model 18 for freight runs to the islands.
The airport is described by its operator as the premier aviation destination in the San Juan Islands, offering a US Customs point of entry, aviation fuel, aircraft repair and maintenance, and flight instruction. Scheduled services connect Friday Harbor with destinations including Seattle, Bellingham, Anacortes, and Victoria, operated by carriers such as Kenmore Air and San Juan Airlines, alongside cargo feeder flights. The airport office has traditionally kept hours of 8am to 5pm daily. Friday Harbor is also notable to simulator pilots as the default starting airfield in Microsoft Flight Simulator X.
