History

The airport covers 425 acres at an elevation of 1,365 feet above mean sea level. In 2025 it received a 7 million dollar federal grant to rebuild its 66-year-old terminal, add further hangars, and rehabilitate the runway.

Southern Airways Express operates non-stop scheduled flights from Harrison to Dallas and Memphis, connecting onward to over 200 destinations.
