Kahului has two physical runways. Runway 02/20 is the longer of the pair at 7007 feet, has a hard surface, is lit, and is equipped with an ILS on runway 02. Runway 05/23 is 4967 feet long, also hard-surfaced and lit, but without an ILS.
Air traffic services are provided under the callsign Maui. Maui Tower operates on 118.7 MHz, which also serves as the CTAF. Ground movements are handled on 121.9 MHz, and clearance delivery is available on 120.6 MHz. Maui Approach and Departure control operates on 119.5 MHz. The airport broadcasts ATIS on 128.6 MHz, and UNICOM is available on 122.95 MHz, with an additional radio outlet on 123.6 MHz. Runway 02 is served by an ILS approach.
Kahului continues to operate as a large, active international airport with airline service, providing the principal fixed-wing access point to Maui. Its longer runway, 02/20, is equipped with an ILS, supporting instrument approaches in addition to visual operations on both runways.
