Jiamusi Songjiang International Airport, listed under ICAO code ZYJM and long known as Jiamusi Dongjiao Airport, is the civil airport serving Jiamusi in Heilongjiang province, China. It sits around 10 kilometres east of the city centre and combines a long history as a joint civil-military field with modern scheduled airline operations, offering a single well-equipped runway of interest to any simulator pilot exploring China's northeastern frontier.
The airport lies in Dongfeng district on the eastern edge of Jiamusi, Heilongjiang province, roughly 10 kilometres from the city centre. It functions as a medium-sized civil aerodrome handling scheduled airline traffic, placing it within controlled airspace typical of a Chinese regional airport with airline service.
The field has a single physical runway aligned 06/24, of hard (concrete) construction and lit for night operations. The 06 threshold has an ILS approach and a landing distance of 8,183 feet, while the 24 end offers 7,206 feet. Field elevation is 259 feet above mean sea level.
A tower frequency of 130 MHz is published for the field. The 06 runway direction is equipped with an ILS, providing an instrument approach for pilots arriving from that direction.
The airport's origins trace back to Dongmonguli Airport, built in October 1932. In 1958 the Jiamusi Station of the Civil Aviation Administration of China was established and the site was designated a joint civil-military airfield; it was rebuilt on the original site and completed in January 1959, when it was renamed Jiamusi Airport and opened for civil aviation. A major renovation and expansion began in 1998, covering 260 hectares and extending the runway to 2,200 metres, with the rebuilt airport reopening to the public in January 2000 as a 4C-standard facility. A further runway extension was completed on 19 October 2012, lengthening the runway to 2,500 metres and allowing full-weight operations by mainstream airliners such as the Boeing 737-800. In December 2025 the airport was renamed from Jiamusi Dongjiao Airport to Jiamusi Songjiang International Airport, having previously been considered non-compliant with naming conventions under its old title.
The airport today operates as a scheduled regional airline hub, served by carriers including Air China, Chengdu Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, China Express Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Qingdao Airlines and Shandong Airlines, with domestic routes to cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Harbin, Guangzhou, Qingdao and Hangzhou, and an international service to Khabarovsk. In 2025 it handled approximately 875,834 passengers, 6,560 aircraft movements and 1,464.8 metric tons of cargo.
