Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
At the 500 ft gate: sink rate 1,324 fpm, more than the glideslope needed.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,419 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 1,419 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 63 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Lugano Airport (LSZA), the Phenom 300E began its journey with a taxiing phase that lasted 21 minutes and covered a distance of 4 nautical miles. As the aircraft reached the runway, it initiated its departure roll on runway 19, accelerating to a liftoff speed of 112 knots. The takeoff distance of 184 meters accounted for 18% of the runway length, with a local temperature of 34°C and a headwind of 10 knots contributing to the aircraft's performance.
As the aircraft climbed to its enroute cruise altitude, it began its ascent from 1,970 feet above sea level, reaching 32,461 feet in just 9 minutes and covering a distance of 51 nautical miles. The climb rate was impressive, with an increase of 30,490 feet in a short period. The aircraft then leveled off for a brief period, cruising at a steady altitude for 5 minutes and covering 40 nautical miles. As it continued its journey, the aircraft began its descent from 32,424 feet, decreasing its altitude by 28,305 feet in 19 minutes and covering 107 nautical miles. The descent was followed by a brief level cruise, lasting 3 minutes and covering 8 nautical miles.
The Phenom 300E finally began its final approach to runway 25 at Augsburg Airport (EDMA), aligning itself with the runway from the east. The landing was successful, with a touchdown distance of 63 meters and a touchdown speed of 101 knots. The aircraft's performance was good, with a threshold speed of 102 knots and a touchdown rate of -257 feet per minute. However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 9.5 meters from the centerline. The total landing distance was 584 meters, accounting for 46% of the runway length. The taxiing phase that followed was brief, lasting less than 1 minute and covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 215 nautical miles, with a total flight time of 45 minutes and a fuel consumption of 372 kilograms.
The aircraft touched down on runway 25 at EDMA Augsburg Airport with a good threshold height, allowing for a smooth transition from the approach to the touchdown phase. The threshold speed of 102 kt was well within the acceptable range, indicating a well-executed approach. The touchdown distance of 63 m was also satisfactory, demonstrating the pilot's ability to control the aircraft's descent and speed.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's speed of 101 kt was good, but the touchdown rate of -257 fpm was only fair, suggesting a slight loss of control during the final stages of the landing. However, the runway touchdown alignment was perfect, with the aircraft centered on the runway. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 25 °C and a gentle tailwind of 5 kt, contributed to a relatively straightforward landing.
The total landing distance of 584 m, which accounted for 46% of the runway length, was within acceptable limits. The runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 9.5 m from the centreline, indicating a minor deviation from the desired path. Overall, the landing was satisfactory, with a score of 97.0% reflecting the pilot's proficiency in executing a smooth and controlled landing.
