MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,135 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 520 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Vision Jet taxiing from the parking area to the runway at KJPX, East Hampton Airport, taking approximately 3 minutes and covering less than 1 nautical mile. The departure roll took place on runway 10, with a takeoff distance of 374 meters, which accounted for 29% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 97 knots.
As the aircraft took to the skies, it encountered local weather conditions of -10°C and a wind speed of 10 knots at 0°. The crosswind was also 10 knots, while the headwind was negligible. The enroute climb started overhead KHTO, East Hampton Airport, where the aircraft climbed from 1,048 feet above sea level to 15,309 feet, an increase of 14,262 feet in 10 minutes, covering a distance of 21 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise began 3 miles northwest of Northville, New York, and lasted for 7 minutes, covering 25 nautical miles. The descent started 2 miles southeast of Fairfield, Connecticut, where the aircraft descended from 14,736 feet to 1,289 feet, a decrease of 13,447 feet in 12 minutes, covering a distance of 32 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 22 at KLGA, LaGuardia Airport, was made from the northeast, heading 212.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,270 feet above ground level. The landing took place on the runway, which had a length of 2,135 meters. The threshold height was good, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 103 knots.
The touchdown point was 89 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 89 knots, which was a little fast. However, the touchdown rate was good at -170 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 7.0 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were -7°C and a wind speed of 3 knots at 105°, with a crosswind of 3 knots and a tailwind of 1 knot.
The total landing distance was 737 meters, which accounted for 35% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good. After landing, the aircraft taxiied to the parking area, taking approximately 5 minutes and covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 83 nautical miles, taking 39 minutes, and the aircraft used 147 kilograms of fuel.
The Vision Jet successfully landed at KLGA LaGuardia Airport, achieving a score of 96.7%. The aircraft approached the runway from the north east, heading 212.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,270 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was made to runway 22, which has a length of 2,135 meters.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down slightly beyond the touchdown zone, 89 meters past the designated area. The touchdown speed of 89 knots was slightly above the target speed, indicating that the pilot may have been able to make adjustments to reduce the speed during the approach. The touchdown rate of -170 feet per minute (fpm) was considered good, indicating a controlled descent.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 7.0 meters, which may have been due to factors such as wind or pilot error. However, the runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the pilot was able to maintain control of the aircraft during the rollout phase.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were cold, with a temperature of -7°C, and a light wind of 3 knots from 105°. The crosswind component was 3 knots, while the tailwind component was 1 knot. Despite these conditions, the pilot was able to successfully land the aircraft, demonstrating good skills and control.
Overall, the Vision Jet's landing at KLGA LaGuardia Airport was successful, with the pilot achieving a high score of 96.7%. However, there were some minor issues with the touchdown speed and runway alignment, which may be areas for improvement in future landings.
