Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,907 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,907 ft of the 8,612 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,435 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 12 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, then departed from runway 18L at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (KCLT). The takeoff distance was 214 feet, which was 2% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 168 knots, and the local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of 75°F and a wind speed of 4 knots at 200°.
As the aircraft climbed, it started to ascend from 1,729 feet above sea level to 33,871 feet, an increase of 32,141 feet in 30 minutes, covering a distance of 188 nautical miles. The enroute climb started 2 miles southeast of KCLT. The aircraft then entered a level cruise phase, which lasted 47 minutes and covered 326 nautical miles, starting 3 miles north of Charleston, Tennessee.
The aircraft then began its descent from 33,592 feet above sea level to 26,583 feet, a decrease of 7,009 feet in 9 minutes, covering 62 nautical miles. This descent started 5 miles northeast of Barbers Lake Field (KKEN) in Kensett, Arkansas. The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which lasted 43 minutes and covered 308 nautical miles, starting 6 miles northeast of Morrilton Airport (07AR) in Morrilton, Arkansas.
The aircraft then began another climb phase, ascending from 26,248 feet above sea level to 33,966 feet, an increase of 7,718 feet in 9 minutes, covering 59 nautical miles. This climb started overhead Waynoka, Oklahoma. The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which lasted 129 minutes and covered 916 nautical miles, starting 11 miles northwest of Laverne Mun Airport (O51) in Laverne, Oklahoma.
The aircraft then began its descent from 34,091 feet above sea level to 3,996 feet, a decrease of 30,096 feet in 20 minutes, covering 111 nautical miles. This descent started overhead Smith, Nevada. The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which lasted 5 minutes and covered 11 nautical miles, starting 3 miles east of Woodland, California.
The aircraft then began its final descent from 2,939 feet above sea level to 1,299 feet, a decrease of 1,639 feet in 2 minutes, covering 7 nautical miles. This descent started 5 miles west of Sacramento Executive Airport (KSAC) in Sacramento, California. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 35L at Sacramento International Airport (KSMF) from the south, heading 1.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,264 feet above ground level.
The aircraft landed on runway 35L at KSMF, with a runway length of 8,612 feet. The threshold height at 60 feet above ground level was slightly above target, but the threshold speed was good at 144 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 1,433 feet, and the touchdown speed was 142 knots, which was good. The touchdown rate was firm at -382 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 75°F and a wind speed of 4 knots at 200°, with a crosswind of 1 knot and a tailwind of 4 knots. The total landing distance was 5,654 feet, which was 66% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was perfect.
The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 8 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft successfully landed at Sacramento International Airport (KSMF) on runway 35L, achieving a high score of 96.3%. The final approach was conducted from the south, with a heading of 1.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,264 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft maintained a steady course, and the pilots executed a precise landing on the designated runway.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's performance was evaluated, and it was found that the threshold height was slightly above the target, but the threshold speed was within the acceptable range at 144 knots. The touchdown distance of 1,433 feet was also considered good, indicating that the pilots had effectively managed the aircraft's descent and speed. The touchdown speed of 142 knots was within the desired range, and the touchdown rate of -382 feet per minute (fpm) was firm but not excessive.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 75°F and a gentle wind of 4 knots from a direction of 200°. The crosswind component was minimal at 1 knot, and the tailwind component was 4 knots, which did not significantly impact the landing. The total landing distance of 5,654 feet was 66% of the runway length, indicating that the pilots had effectively managed the aircraft's speed and descent to achieve a safe and controlled landing.
The runway rollout alignment was perfect, demonstrating the pilots' skill and attention to detail in executing a precise landing. Overall, the Boeing 737-800 aircraft performed well during the landing, and the pilots' expertise and experience were evident in their ability to navigate the aircraft safely and efficiently.
