Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 2,286 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,286 m of the 3,987 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 689 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 8 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Boeing 777-200ER, then departed from runway 19L at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand. The takeoff distance was 1,764 meters, which accounted for 44% of the runway. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 175 knots, with a local temperature of 35 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 12 knots at 200 degrees.
As the aircraft climbed out of Suvarnabhumi Airport, it began its enroute climb, reaching an altitude of 33,386 feet above sea level in 18 minutes, covering a distance of 93 nautical miles. The climb started 1 mile south of the airport and ended 13 miles northwest of Bo Phloi, Thailand. The aircraft then entered a level cruise phase, lasting 71 minutes and covering 610 nautical miles.
The aircraft continued its journey, entering another climb phase from an altitude of 33,409 feet to 35,387 feet in 3 minutes, covering 28 nautical miles. This climb phase started at a location with coordinates 18.7887059 latitude and 89.7371178 longitude. The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, lasting 182 minutes and covering 1,445 nautical miles.
The aircraft continued its climb and level cruise phases, with each phase lasting between 2 and 202 minutes and covering distances ranging from 12 to 1,249 nautical miles. The climb phases saw the aircraft reach altitudes of up to 36,600 feet, while the level cruise phases saw the aircraft maintain altitudes of up to 38,246 feet.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its descent phase, starting overhead Sattledt, Austria. The descent from 38,099 feet to 4,952 feet took 22 minutes, covering 110 nautical miles. The aircraft then entered a short level cruise phase, lasting 2 minutes and covering 5 nautical miles.
The final descent phase began 2 miles southwest of Rohrmoos, Germany, and saw the aircraft descend from 4,954 feet to 2,764 feet in 3 minutes, covering 10 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 08R at Munich Airport, flying from the west at a heading of 83.0 degrees and an altitude of 1,283 feet above ground level.
The aircraft landed on runway 08R, with a touchdown point 276 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 127 knots, which was good, and the touchdown rate was also good at -199 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 6.3 meters from the centerline. The local temperature was 14 degrees Celsius, and the wind speed was 5 knots at 200 degrees.
The total landing distance was 2,209 meters, which accounted for 55% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 11 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 4,875 nautical miles, taking a total of 598 minutes. The aircraft used 81,912 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 777-200ER aircraft successfully landed at EDDM Munich Airport, achieving a score of 90.7%. The final approach to runway 08R was initiated from the west, with a heading of 83.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,283 feet above ground level (agl).
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on the runway, with the threshold height being above the target at 63 feet agl. However, the threshold speed was satisfactory at 138 knots, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The touchdown point was located 276 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which may indicate a slight deviation from the intended landing path.
The touchdown speed of 127 knots was within the acceptable range, and the touchdown rate of -199 feet per minute (fpm) was also satisfactory, indicating a controlled and stable landing. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 6.3 meters from the centerline, which may require some adjustments to the landing approach in the future.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 14°C, with a wind speed of 5 knots from a direction of 200°. The crosswind component was 4 knots, while the tailwind component was 2 knots. These conditions did not appear to significantly impact the landing, with the aircraft maintaining a stable and controlled approach.
The total landing distance of 2,209 meters was 55% of the available runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating a smooth and controlled deceleration after touchdown. Overall, the landing was successful, with the aircraft achieving a satisfactory score of 90.7%.
