Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 10,310 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,130 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Vision Jet taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Sibiu International Airport, taking approximately 2 minutes to cover less than 1 nautical mile. The departure roll took place on runway 27, with the aircraft lifting off after a takeoff distance of 1,687 feet, which was 20% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 94 knots.
As the aircraft climbed to a higher altitude, it started its enroute climb 1 mile east of Cristian, Romania, rising from 2,434 feet above sea level to 29,648 feet above sea level, an increase of 27,214 feet in 18 minutes, covering a distance of 61 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise began 5 miles west of Cerbal, Hunedoara, Romania, and lasted for 45 minutes, covering 229 nautical miles.
The enroute descent started 3 miles south of Savnik, Montenegro, where the aircraft descended from 29,676 feet above sea level to 1,780 feet above sea level, a decrease of 27,896 feet in 20 minutes, covering 45 nautical miles. The aircraft then began another climb 1 mile south of Dubrovnik, Croatia, rising from 1,793 feet above sea level to 1,806 feet above sea level, an increase of 13 feet in 3 minutes, covering 5 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 11 at Dubrovnik Ruđer Bošković Airport was made from the northwest, heading 120.0 degrees at 2 nautical miles and 1,288 feet above ground level. The landing took place on runway 11, which was 10,310 feet long, with a good threshold height. However, the threshold speed was too high at 84 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 1,120 feet, but the touchdown speed at 73 knots was a little fast. The touchdown rate was good at -193 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 18 feet from the centreline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 72 degrees Fahrenheit, with a wind speed of 4 knots at 73 degrees. The crosswind was 3 knots, and the headwind was also 3 knots. The total landing distance was 3,570 feet, which was 35% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The flight then ended with the aircraft taxiing to the parking area from the runway, taking approximately 1 minute to cover less than 1 nautical mile.
In total, the flight distance was 345 nautical miles, taking 91 minutes, and the aircraft used 650 pounds of fuel.
The Vision Jet aircraft successfully landed at LDDU Dubrovnik Ruđer Bošković Airport, achieving a score of 96.3%. The final approach was conducted from the north-west, heading 120.0° at 2 nautical miles and 1,288 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft touched down on runway 11, which has a length of 10,310 feet.
The threshold height was reported as good, but the threshold speed was slightly too high at 84 knots. However, the touchdown distance was within acceptable limits at 1,120 feet. The touchdown speed of 73 knots was a little fast, but the touchdown rate of -193 feet per minute (fpm) was good. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 18 feet from the centreline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 72°F and a light wind of 4 knots at 73°. The crosswind and headwind components were both 3 knots, indicating a relatively calm environment. The total landing distance was 3,570 feet, which is 35% of the runway length.
The rollout alignment after touchdown was very good, indicating that the pilot maintained control of the aircraft during the landing process. Overall, the Vision Jet aircraft performed well during the landing, with the only notable areas for improvement being the threshold speed and touchdown speed.
