Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,747 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 612 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Narita International Airport (RJAA) served as the departure point for the Airbus A380, which taxiing from the parking area to runway 16R required 9 minutes and covered 5 nm. The aircraft accelerated to a liftoff speed of 157 kt after a takeoff roll of 1,458 m, which represented 36 % of the available runway. Local conditions at departure were 27 °C with a 2‑kt wind from 230°, providing a 2‑kt crosswind and no headwind component.
The flight profile progressed through a climb that began 1 mile south of Narita, increasing altitude from 1,133 ft to 39,461 ft over 22 minutes and 146 nm, a gain of 38,328 ft. Cruise phases followed, first 63 minutes covering 505 nm, then a brief 2‑minute level segment of 7 nm 5 miles south of Hwaseong‑si. Descent commenced 14 miles northwest of Mungyeong, dropping from 39,995 ft to 7,222 ft in 15 minutes over 97 nm, a loss of 32,774 ft. A subsequent descent 5 miles southwest of Hwaseong‑si reduced altitude from 7,000 ft to 1,313 ft in 7 minutes across 19 nm, a decrease of 5,687 ft. The final approach to runway 33R at Incheon International Airport (RKSI) began from the southeast, heading 325.0° at 4 nm and 1,277 ft AGL, with a touchdown point 195 m beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed of 130 kt was slightly high, but the touchdown rate of –174 fpm and alignment were acceptable. Runway rollout covered 1,426 m, 38 % of the 3,752‑m runway, with a 10.1‑m misalignment from the centreline. Local weather at Incheon was 29 °C, a 4‑kt wind from 180°, a 2‑kt crosswind and a 3‑kt tailwind.
After landing, taxiing back to the parking area required another 9 minutes and covered 2 nm. The entire operation spanned 128 minutes, covering a total flight distance of 787 nm and consuming 23,632 kg of fuel.
The final approach to runway 33R at RKSI Incheon International Airport was executed from the southeast with a heading of 325.0°, maintaining 4 nm and 1,277 ft above ground level. The aircraft approached the threshold with a good height and a threshold speed of 130 kt, aligning precisely with the runway centerline. The touchdown occurred 195 m beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 130 kt that was slightly fast, yet the touchdown rate of –174 fpm was within acceptable limits. The touchdown alignment was described as very good, indicating a clean entry into the runway.
During the rollout phase, the aircraft covered a total landing distance of 1,426 m, which represents 38 % of the available runway length of 3,752 m. The runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 10.1 m from the centerline, a minor deviation that did not compromise the overall safety of the landing. Local weather conditions were 29 °C with a wind of 4 kt from 180°, a crosswind of 2 kt and a tailwind of 3 kt, all of which were effectively managed during the approach and landing.
Overall, the landing performance achieved a score of 94.5 %. The approach quality, threshold speed, touchdown characteristics, and rollout were all within the expected parameters, demonstrating a high level of proficiency and adherence to operational standards.
