MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 2,421 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,421 m of the 3,474 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 631 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in the HJET E2 began with a 20-minute taxi from the parking area to the runway, covering a distance of 4 nm. The departure roll on runway 34 at UBBB Heydar Aliyev involved a takeoff distance of 725 m, which was 18% of the total runway length. The liftoff speed recorded was 130 kn, and the local weather at takeoff included a temperature of 12 °C, wind speed of 20 kn at 320 °, with a crosswind of 9 kn and a headwind of 18 kn.
During the enroute climb, starting 1 mile northwest of UBBB Heydar Aliyev Baku, the aircraft climbed from 1,032 ft asl to 24,932 ft asl, covering a distance of 29 nm in 8 minutes. The descent phase commenced 7 miles west of Haci Zeynalabdin Sumqayit City, with the aircraft descending from 25,286 ft asl to 13,861 ft asl, covering a distance of 49 nm in 9 minutes.
The enroute level cruise began 4 miles west of Aghsu Aghsu Rayon, lasting for 11 minutes and covering 32 nm. Another descent was initiated 7 miles west of UBKY Mollakend Airport Kyurdarmir, with the aircraft descending from 13,713 ft asl to 2,902 ft asl, covering 37 nm in 9 minutes.
The landing on runway 34 at UBBQ Gabala involved a runway length of 3,474 m, with the aircraft touching down 632 m from the threshold at a speed of 96 kn and a VSI of -42 ft/m. The local weather at the destination included a temperature of 10 °C and wind speed of 0 kn at 127 °, with no crosswind or headwind reported.
The total landing distance was 2,329 m, which was 67% of the runway length. Taxiing from the runway to the parking area took 2 minutes, covering less than 1 nm. The total flight distance traveled was 160 nm, with a total flight time of 560 minutes and fuel consumption of 376 kg.
Firstly, congratulations on achieving a high aircraft landing score of 94.6%! This score reflects a strong overall performance during the landing process, showcasing your skill and proficiency as a pilot.
During the Approach Phase, it's great to see that the glideslope alignment was good, indicating a smooth and controlled descent towards the runway. This is crucial for setting up a successful landing and ensuring a safe arrival at the destination.
Moving on to the Landing Phase, it's noted that the threshold height was above target and there was a poor landing flare. While the touchdown rate was perfect, these areas of improvement suggest that there may be room to refine your approach to achieve an even smoother touchdown. Focusing on maintaining the correct threshold height and executing a proper landing flare will help enhance the overall quality of your landings.
In the Touchdown Phase, the touchdown point being 203 meters beyond the touchdown zone is something to work on to ensure landing within the designated area. Additionally, while the touchdown rate was ideal, it's worth noting that the speed was slightly above target. Adjusting the speed to meet the target criteria can contribute to a more precise and controlled landing.
Lastly, in the Rollout Phase, the runway alignment being 4.1 meters from the centerline indicates a slight deviation from the desired path. Ensuring a more precise alignment with the centerline during the rollout phase will enhance the landing accuracy and improve overall landing performance.
Overall, your high landing score demonstrates a strong foundation in aircraft control and landing proficiency. By focusing on the areas identified for improvement, such as threshold height, landing flare, touchdown point, speed, and runway alignment, you can continue to refine your skills and achieve even better landing outcomes in the future. Keep up the great work and strive for continuous improvement in your aircraft handling abilities. Great job!
