Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 8,282 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 453 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 5 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Boeing 777-300, then departed from runway 32 at Zürich Airport (LSZH) in Switzerland. The takeoff distance was 1,605 feet, which accounted for 16% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 154 knots.
As the aircraft took to the skies, it encountered local weather conditions of 51°F temperature and a 6-knot headwind at 309°. The enroute climb started overhead Oberglatt, a town in the Kanton Zurich region of Switzerland, where the aircraft climbed from 2,423 feet above sea level to 32,334 feet above sea level, an increase of 29,910 feet in 11 minutes, covering a distance of 62 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise then began overhead Kriechenwil, a town in the Canton de Berne region of Switzerland, and lasted for 10 minutes, covering 75 nautical miles. The aircraft then started another climb from 32,539 feet above sea level to 37,179 feet above sea level, an increase of 4,640 feet in 5 minutes, covering 40 nautical miles, as it flew over Poisy in the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region of France.
The enroute level cruise resumed overhead Villard-Bonnot in the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region of France and lasted for 16 minutes, covering 126 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent from 37,174 feet above sea level to 2,021 feet above sea level, a decrease of 35,153 feet in 23 minutes, covering 137 nautical miles, as it flew over Sausset-les-Pins in the Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur region of France.
The enroute level cruise started again 2 miles south east of Malgrat de Mar in the Catalunya region of Spain and lasted for 15 minutes, covering 40 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 02 at Barcelona-El Prat Airport (LEBL) was made from the south, heading 19.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,272 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 02 at LEBL was successful, with a touchdown point 371 feet beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was a little fast at 138 knots, but the touchdown rate was firm at -347 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 20 feet from the centreline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 53°F temperature and a 7-knot headwind at 329°.
The total landing distance was 4,231 feet, which accounted for 51% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 5 minutes and covered 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 488 nautical miles, taking 93 minutes, and the aircraft used 23,382 pounds of fuel.
The Boeing 777-300 aircraft successfully landed at LEBL Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport, achieving a score of 97.2%. The final approach to runway 02 was conducted from the south, with a heading of 19.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,272 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft maintained a good threshold height, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 138 knots.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft landed 371 feet beyond the designated touchdown zone, which was slightly off-center. The touchdown speed of 138 knots was a bit faster than ideal, resulting in a firm touchdown rate of -347 feet per minute (fpm). The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 20 feet from the centerline, which may have contributed to the slightly off-center touchdown.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 53°F and a wind speed of 11 knots from a direction of 329°. The crosswind component was 8 knots, while the headwind component was 7 knots. The total landing distance covered by the aircraft was 4,231 feet, which accounted for 51% of the runway length. Notably, the runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft's brakes were effectively managed during the landing roll.
Overall, the landing was successful, with the aircraft achieving a high score despite a few minor deviations from ideal performance. The pilots' skills and the aircraft's capabilities were demonstrated through a safe and controlled landing at LEBL Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport.
