Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,561 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 333 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in question was operated by AIR TRANSAT using the aircraft C-GCKU, a FBW aircraft. The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 17 minutes and covered a distance of 4 nautical miles. The aircraft then departed from runway 04R at EKCH Copenhagen Kastrup Airport, with a takeoff distance of 924 meters, which accounted for 28% of the runway.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 1°C, with a wind speed of 18 knots at a direction of 49°. This resulted in a crosswind of 3 knots and a headwind of 18 knots. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 144 knots. The enroute climb started shortly after departure, with the aircraft ascending from 1,049 feet above sea level to 35,297 feet above sea level, an increase of 34,248 feet in 18 minutes, covering a distance of 126 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 2 miles south east of Kargow, Germany, and lasted for 36 minutes, covering a distance of 533 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent from 36,023 feet above sea level to 16,732 feet above sea level, a decrease of 19,291 feet in 13 minutes, covering a distance of 83 nautical miles. This was followed by another enroute level cruise, which started 2 miles west of Triora, Italy, and lasted for 5 minutes, covering a distance of 19 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began its descent from 16,531 feet above sea level to 4,172 feet above sea level, a decrease of 12,359 feet in 16 minutes, covering a distance of 26 nautical miles. Another enroute level cruise started 17 miles south east of Antibes, France, and lasted for 7 minutes, covering a distance of 16 nautical miles. The final descent started 1 mile south east of Cannes, France, and the aircraft descended from 3,232 feet above sea level to 1,286 feet above sea level, a decrease of 1,946 feet in 3 minutes, covering a distance of 6 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 04L at LFMN Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport was made from the south west, with a heading of 45.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,264 feet above ground level. The landing was successful, with a touchdown distance of 331 meters, a touchdown speed of 133 knots, and a touchdown rate of -430 feet per minute. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 5.3 meters from the centreline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 8°C, with a wind speed of 8 knots at a direction of 330°. This resulted in a crosswind of 8 knots and a headwind of 2 knots. The total landing distance was 1,263 meters, which accounted for 49% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned by 13.2 meters from the centreline.
The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 6 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 820 nautical miles, with a total flight time of 115 minutes and a fuel consumption of 5,015 kilograms.
The aircraft, FBW AIR TRANSAT C-GCKU, successfully landed at LFMN Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport, achieving a score of 93.3%. The final approach to runway 04L was initiated from the southwest, with a heading of 45.0° at an altitude of 1,264 feet above ground level (agl) and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway.
The aircraft touched down on the runway with a speed of 133 knots, which was within the acceptable threshold speed. The touchdown distance of 331 meters was also within the expected range. However, the touchdown rate was slightly hard, at -430 feet per minute (fpm), which may indicate a slight loss of control during the landing.
Upon landing, the aircraft was slightly misaligned with the runway centerline, both at touchdown and during the rollout phase. The touchdown position was 5.3 meters off-center, while the rollout alignment was 13.2 meters off-center. These deviations may be attributed to factors such as wind, pilot error, or aircraft performance.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 8°C and a wind speed of 8 knots from 330°. The crosswind component was 8 knots, while the headwind component was 2 knots. These conditions may have contributed to the slight deviations in the aircraft's alignment during the landing.
Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft touching down within the expected range and achieving a good touchdown speed. However, the hard touchdown rate and slight misalignments during the rollout phase may indicate areas for improvement in the pilot's technique or the aircraft's performance.
