Fixing the bounce
Fast at the threshold, normal flare, and the runway seems to refuse the aircraft. The instinctive fix - pushing it on - causes the next one. A fast aircraft forced onto the runway touches nosewheel-first or nearly so. The tell is a touchdown that feels soft followed by a bounce that steepens. Pilots fix the bounce recovery; the cause was the 10 knots at the threshold.

One stabilised approach gate for a circuit: seven checks where the approach path is 300 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate is an instrument-approach check and does not apply. These checks are the approach's score.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,866 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 414 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The TL3000 Sirius taxied to runway 23 at EGPE Inverness Airport and commenced the take-off roll. The aircraft accelerated over a measured takeoff distance of 217 m, representing 12 % of the available runway, and lifted off at 57 kt. Ambient conditions were 15 °C with a wind of 2 kt from 269°, including a 1 kt cross-wind component and a 2 kt head-wind component.
During the approach the aircraft entered a left-hand pattern to runway 23, covering less than 1 nm in 21 seconds for the entry and another sub-1 nm segment in 18 seconds for the cross-wind leg. The downwind turn spanned 1 nm at an angle of 82.6° to the runway, followed by a 2 nm downwind leg completed in 54 seconds. The base turn covered 1 nm at 51.3° to the runway, the base leg was under 1 nm in 31 seconds, and the final turn was also under 1 nm in 25 seconds. The final approach descended from 444 ft AGL to 29 ft AGL in 41 seconds, and the aircraft scored on the stabilisation gates before touchdown.
Touchdown occurred on runway 23, whose total length is 1 866 m. The threshold speed was recorded at 54 kt, and the aircraft touched down 413 m from the threshold at 38 kt with a vertical speed of minus 14 fpm. Alignment on touchdown and during the subsequent rollout was described as perfect, and the total landing distance measured 507 m, equivalent to 27 % of the runway.
The rollout continued with perfect runway alignment, bringing the aircraft to a stop without deviation.
Overall, the flight covered a distance of 6 nm, took 4 (units as given), and consumed 1 kg of fuel.
The TL3000 Sirius conducted the final approach to runway 23 at EGPE Inverness Airport, descending from 444 ft agl to 29 ft agl in 41 seconds and was scored on the stabilisation gates. Local weather was 15 °C with wind 2 kt at 269 °, a cross-wind of 1 kt and a head-wind of 2 kt.
At threshold the aircraft achieved a good threshold height and a good threshold speed of 54 kt.
Touchdown occurred 413 m down the runway at a good speed of 38 kt, with a perfect touchdown rate of minus 14 fpm and perfect runway touchdown alignment.
The rollout covered a total landing distance of 507 m, representing 27 % of the 1 866 m runway, and runway rollout alignment was perfect.
With an overall score of 95.0 %, the performance was strong; a minor refinement could focus on maintaining the descent profile to ensure the stabilised approach remains consistent throughout the final segment.
