Improve the touchdown
There are several things that can go wrong during the flare, carrying too much speed over the threshold, starting the flare at the wrong height and inconsistent flight control inputs, all contribute to a poor flare resulting in a hard touchdown or a float down the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.

The rest of the report
Departing Ibiza Airport (LEIB), the Airbus A320 began its journey by taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 7 minutes and covered approximately 1 nautical mile. As the aircraft lined up on runway 06, the crew initiated the departure roll, and the aircraft lifted off the ground at a speed of 167 knots. The takeoff distance of 7,004 feet was 76% of the available runway length, indicating a smooth and efficient departure.
As the aircraft climbed away from Ibiza, it began its enroute climb, which started approximately 1 mile southwest of the airport. The crew guided the aircraft through a vertical ascent of 35,049 feet, covering a distance of 159 nautical miles in 23 minutes. The climb was followed by a 107-minute level cruise, during which the aircraft flew at an altitude of 36,008 feet, covering a distance of 841 nautical miles. The enroute descent began 5 miles southeast of Varel, Germany, and the aircraft descended from 36,023 feet to 1,380 feet in 17 minutes, covering a distance of 92 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 15 at Hamburg Helmut Schmidt Airport (EDDH) was initiated from the northwest, with the aircraft flying at an altitude of 1,328 feet above ground level. The crew guided the aircraft through a smooth touchdown, with a threshold speed of 146 knots, which was above the target speed. The touchdown distance of 1,369 feet was within acceptable limits, although the touchdown speed of 139 knots was slightly fast. The aircraft came to rest on the runway, and the crew taxied it to the parking area, a process that took 3 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 1,100 nautical miles, and the aircraft used 14,091 pounds of fuel during the journey, which lasted 158 minutes.
The final approach to runway 15 at EDDH Hamburg Helmut Schmidt Airport from the north west was executed with precision, with the aircraft maintaining a heading of 153.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,328 feet above ground level. The approach quality was excellent, with a good threshold height achieved. However, the threshold speed was slightly above the target, registering at 146 knots.
As the aircraft touched down on the runway, the touchdown distance was satisfactory at 1,369 feet. The touchdown speed of 139 knots was a little fast, but the aircraft maintained its centreline alignment perfectly. The touchdown rate was hard at -454 feet per minute, indicating a slight loss of control during the touchdown phase. Despite this, the runway touchdown alignment was flawless, with the aircraft perfectly aligned with the centreline.
The rollout phase was equally impressive, with the aircraft maintaining perfect centreline alignment throughout. The total landing distance of 5,132 feet was 43% of the runway length, indicating a safe and controlled landing. Overall, the landing was scored at 96.6%, reflecting the high level of proficiency demonstrated by the crew. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 57°F and no wind, contributed to a smooth and controlled landing.
