Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,709 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 251 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing Fes Saïss International Airport (GMFF) on runway 27, the Cessna 208B began its takeoff roll, accelerating to a liftoff speed of 79 kt in a distance of 476 m, which represented 16% of the available runway length. The aircraft then transitioned into a steady climb, reaching an altitude of 7,894 ft asl in 6 minutes, covering a distance of 14 nm. This climb phase was characterized by a significant increase in altitude, with the aircraft rising by 5,079 ft.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, maintaining an altitude of 7,894 ft asl for 33 minutes as it covered a distance of 95 nm. This phase was punctuated by a series of descents and subsequent level cruises, with the aircraft descending from 7,789 ft asl to 4,011 ft asl in 3 minutes, covering 10 nm, and then resuming a level cruise at 10 miles south of Ben Slimane Airport (GMMB). The final descent phase began 3 miles south east of Berrechid, with the aircraft touching down on runway 35R at Mohammed V International Airport (GMMN) after a total flight distance of 167 nm.
The landing phase was characterized by a good threshold height, threshold speed, and touchdown speed, with the aircraft touching down at 62 kt and a touchdown distance of 250 m, representing 21% of the available runway length. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, and the runway rollout alignment was perfect. Following a taxiing time of 1 minute, the aircraft came to a stop, having used 234 kg of fuel during the flight. The overall performance of the aircraft was satisfactory, with the flight crew demonstrating good control and management of the aircraft throughout the various phases of flight.
The Cessna 208B touched down on runway 35R at GMMN Mohammed V International Airport with a satisfactory approach quality, demonstrating good control and precision. The aircraft descended from an altitude of 1,578 ft agl to a threshold height of approximately 50 ft, aligning itself with the runway centerline. The threshold speed of 64 kt was well within the acceptable range, indicating a smooth and controlled approach.
As the aircraft made contact with the runway, it exhibited a firm touchdown rate of -376 fpm, with a touchdown speed of 62 kt. The touchdown distance of 250 m was within the expected parameters, and the aircraft remained aligned with the centerline. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 15 °C and a negligible headwind, contributed to a stable and predictable approach. The crosswind component of 1 kt had a minimal impact on the landing, allowing the pilot to maintain control throughout the approach and touchdown phases.
The rollout phase was characterized by perfect alignment with the runway centerline, demonstrating excellent control and precision. The total landing distance of 793 m, which accounted for only 21% of the runway length, was well within the acceptable range. Overall, the landing was deemed satisfactory, with a score of 98.3% reflecting the high level of proficiency and control exhibited by the pilot throughout the approach, touchdown, and rollout phases.
