MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Smooth the climb
Pull to 15 degrees at one rate and you get a clean liftoff, pull to the same 15 degrees at twice the rate and you get an overshoot, a push, and an oscillation through the first few hundred feet. The type-general rule of thumb is a rotation rate of about 2 to 3 degrees per second, which means roughly five to seven seconds from starting the pull to reaching the initial climb attitude of around 15 degrees nose-up. Count it out loud during your next takeoff and you will almost certainly discover you have been rotating in two seconds flat.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 305 m and 152 m above the runway.
At the 152 m gate: sink rate above what the glideslope needed.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,670 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,670 m of the 2,447 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 442 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 7 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, then departed from runway 08 at Catania-Fontanarossa Airport (LICC), with a takeoff distance of 1,207 meters, which was 54% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 144 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 6 knots at a direction of 20 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 5 knots and a headwind of 3 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile south east of Catania, and climbed from an altitude of 309 meters above sea level to 11,070 meters above sea level, an increase of 10,761 meters, in 18 minutes and covering a distance of 94 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 28 miles north west of Malfa, Sicilia, Italy, and lasted for 45 minutes, covering a distance of 335 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting 2 miles east of Marina di Pisa-Tirrenia-Calambrone, Toscana, Italy, and descended from 11,085 meters above sea level to 495 meters above sea level, a decrease of 10,590.3 meters, in 21 minutes and covering a distance of 114 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 36 at Milano Linate Airport (LIML) was made from the south, heading 356.0 degrees at an altitude of 4 nautical miles and 384.8 meters above ground level. The landing was made on runway 36, which had a length of 2,447 meters. The threshold height was good, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 142 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 445 meters, but the touchdown speed was a little fast at 133 knots, and the touchdown rate was fair at -1.4 meters per second. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.5 meters from the centreline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 13 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 3 knots at a direction of 14 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 1 knot and a headwind of 3 knots. The total landing distance was 1,593 meters, which was 65% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 3 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 551 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 95 minutes, with a fuel consumption of 3,908 kilograms.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft successfully landed at LIML Milano Linate Airport, achieving a high score of 97.8%. The final approach to runway 36 was conducted from the south, with the aircraft heading 356.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 384.8 meters above ground level.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on the runway with a speed of 142 knots, which was slightly above the target threshold speed. However, the touchdown distance of 445 meters was considered good, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The touchdown speed of 133 knots was a little fast, but the touchdown rate of -1.4 meters per second was fair.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 3.5 meters, which may require some adjustments in the approach and landing procedures. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 13°C and a gentle wind of 3 knots at 14°. The crosswind was minimal at 1 knot, while the headwind was 3 knots, which helped to stabilize the aircraft during the landing.
The total landing distance of 1,593 meters was 65% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing distance. The runway rollout alignment was very good, suggesting that the aircraft was well-controlled and stable during the landing roll. Overall, the landing was successful, and the aircraft was able to come to a stop within a safe distance from the runway threshold.
