MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,709 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 749 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a quick taxiing process from the parking area to the runway, taking less than a minute and covering a distance of less than a nautical mile. The aircraft, a TBM 850, then departed from runway 09 at ENVA Trondheim Airport, Værnes, with a takeoff distance of 482 meters, which is 20% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 89 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 14 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 10 knots at 59 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 5 knots and a headwind of 8 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting overhead the town of Hell in Trondelag, Norway. The climb took the aircraft from an altitude of 199 feet above sea level to 3,716 feet, an increase of 3,516 feet, in just 3 minutes and covering a distance of 5 nautical miles.
Following the climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which lasted for 8 minutes and covered a distance of 24 nautical miles. This phase began 1 mile west of the town of Hommelvik in Trondelag, Norway. The aircraft then started its enroute descent, beginning 2 miles south of the town of Selbekken in Trondelag, Norway. The descent took the aircraft from an altitude of 3,907 feet above sea level to 1,428 feet, a decrease of 2,479 feet, in 4 minutes and covering a distance of 11 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 33 at ENOL Ørland Airport was made from the southeast, with the aircraft heading 334.0 degrees at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,397 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 33, which has a length of 2,709 meters. The threshold height was good, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 73 knots. The touchdown point was 314 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was a little fast at 66 knots. However, the touchdown rate was smooth at -144 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was significantly misaligned by 17.1 meters from the centerline, and the runway rollout alignment was also misaligned by 18.6 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 11 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 9 knots at 120 degrees, resulting in a crosswind of 5 knots and a tailwind of 7 knots. The total landing distance was 1,116 meters, which is 41% of the runway length.
The flight concluded with a taxiing process from the runway to the parking area, taking 1 minute and covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 45 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 22 minutes. The aircraft used 22 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The TBM 850 aircraft successfully landed on runway 33 at ENOL Ørland Airport, achieving an overall score of 85.9%. The final approach was initiated from the south east, heading 334.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,397 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft touched down on the runway, which has a length of 2,709 meters.
The threshold height was reported as good, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 72 kt, registering at 73 kt. The touchdown point was located 314 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, indicating a slight deviation from the intended landing spot. The touchdown speed of 66 kt was a little fast, but the touchdown rate was smooth at -144 feet per minute (fpm).
The runway touchdown position was significantly misaligned by 17.1 meters from the centerline, which could be attributed to the crosswind and tailwind conditions. The local weather conditions at the time of landing included a temperature of 11°C, wind speed of 9 kt at 120°, resulting in a crosswind of 5 kt and a tailwind of 7 kt.
The total landing distance was 1,116 meters, which accounts for 41% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was also misaligned by 18.6 meters from the centerline, indicating a slight deviation from the intended path. Overall, while the landing was successful, there were some deviations from the ideal landing parameters, which could be addressed through further training and practice.
