Departure
Hold the nose down until the speed reaches 60 kt, then rotate.
What happened: You started the rotation at 46 kt, 14 kt before the 60 kt rotation speed.
Watch for: Airspeed indicator: 60 kt at rotation

A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate for a circuit: seven checks where the approach path is 300 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate is an instrument-approach check and does not apply. These checks are the approach's score.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,866 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 275 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The TL3000 Sirius taxied from the parking area to runway 23 at EGPE Inverness Airport in 1 minutes, covering less than 1 nm.
During the departure roll on runway 23, the aircraft accelerated to a take-off distance of 242 m, representing 13 % of the runway length, and rotated at 46 kt. Local weather was 15 °C with a wind of 2 kt from 269°, giving a 1 kt cross-wind component and a 2 kt head-wind component.
The aircraft entered a left-hand pattern for runway 23, completing the entry in less than 1 nm in 24 seconds, followed by a left-hand cross-wind leg of less than 1 nm in 25 seconds. The downwind turn covered 2 nm with an angle to the runway’s far end of 63.4°, and the downwind leg extended 3 nm in 88 seconds. The base-leg turn spanned 2 nm with a 47.6° angle to the runway (45°), after which the base leg was 1 nm in 61 seconds. The final turn was less than 1 nm and lasted 29 seconds, positioning the aircraft for final approach.
On final approach to runway 23, the aircraft descended from 426 ft agl to 26 ft agl in 67 seconds, meeting the stabilisation gates.
Landing was executed on runway 23, which is 1 866 m long. The threshold speed was slightly above the target at 58 kt. Touchdown occurred 275 m down the runway at 48 kt, with a touchdown rate of minus 46 fpm and perfect runway-touchdown alignment. Weather conditions remained 15 °C, wind 2 kt from 269°, cross-wind 1 kt and head-wind 2 kt.
The total landing distance measured 399 m, representing 21 % of the runway, and the rollout alignment was perfect.
In total, the flight covered 9 nm, took 7 (unspecified units) and consumed 1 kg of fuel.
