MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,096 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 402 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in the Boeing 737-700 began with a smooth taxi from the parking area to the runway at KMDW Chicago Midway International Airport. The taxi took 8 minutes and covered 2 nautical miles, setting the stage for a successful departure.
Once on the runway, the aircraft prepared for takeoff from runway 13C. The takeoff roll covered a distance of 1,226 meters, approximately 75% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 165 knots. The local weather at the time of departure was 6°C with a 15 knot wind coming from 139°, resulting in a crosswind of 2 knots and a headwind of 15 knots.
The enroute climb began overhead West Lawn, Illinois, with the aircraft ascending from 1,625 feet above sea level to 36,787 feet above sea level. This climb covered a distance of 134 nautical miles and took 21 minutes to complete.
After reaching cruising altitude, the aircraft flew over Putnam Co Greencastle in Indiana for a level cruise that lasted 194 minutes and covered a distance of 1,490 nautical miles.
The enroute descent started 19 miles northeast of Arroyo Salado in the Dominican Republic. The aircraft descended from 38,149 feet above sea level to 1,161 feet above sea level over a distance of 100 nautical miles in 21 minutes.
As the aircraft approached Punta Cana International Airport, it made a final approach to runway 27 from the east at 4 nautical miles and 1,101 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 27 was successful but with a slightly fast touchdown speed of 135 knots. The touchdown rate was firm at -354 feet per minute, and the touchdown point was 596 meters beyond the touchdown zone. Despite this, the runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The total landing distance was 1,530 meters, representing 49% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment after landing was very good. The aircraft taxied from the runway to the parking area in 6 minutes, covering less than 1 nautical mile.
Overall, the flight covered a total distance of 1,732 nautical miles and lasted 251 minutes. It consumed 21,217 pounds of fuel during the journey.
