Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,454 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 461 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 6 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Boeing 777-300, then departed from runway 34R at Seattle–Tacoma International Airport (KSEA). The takeoff distance was 766 meters, which accounted for 21% of the runway. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 170 knots.
As the aircraft climbed out of KSEA, it began its enroute climb, reaching an altitude of 37,105 feet above sea level in 15 minutes, covering a distance of 97 nautical miles. The local weather conditions at the time were a temperature of 13 degrees Celsius. The enroute climb started overhead KSEA, and the aircraft continued to climb to its cruising altitude.
The enroute level cruise began 5 miles west of Ephrata Airport (KEPP) in Ephrata, Washington. This phase of the flight lasted for 157 minutes, covering a distance of 1,273 nautical miles. The aircraft then began another enroute climb, this time from 36,777 feet to 38,771 feet above sea level, an increase of 1,995 feet in just 3 minutes, covering a distance of 27 nautical miles. This climb started 3 miles west of Lake Delton in Wisconsin.
The aircraft then entered another enroute level cruise, this time starting overhead Gilbert Field in Rio, Wisconsin. This phase of the flight lasted for 71 minutes, covering a distance of 584 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, starting 6 miles southeast of Dushore in Pennsylvania. The descent from 38,997 feet to 1,300 feet above sea level took 21 minutes, covering a distance of 120 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 13L at John F Kennedy International Airport (KJFK) was made from the northwest, heading 121.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,273 feet above ground level. The local weather conditions at the time were a temperature of 19 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 6 knots at 130 degrees. The crosswind was 1 knot, and the headwind was 6 knots.
The landing on runway 13L was successful, with a touchdown distance of 460 meters, which was good. The touchdown speed was 132 knots, and the touchdown rate was fair at -216 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the runway rollout alignment was also perfect. The total landing distance was 1,370 meters, which accounted for 56% of the runway.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, which took 3 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 2,109 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 277 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 30,867 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 777-300 aircraft successfully landed on runway 13L at John F Kennedy International Airport (KJFK) with a score of 99.7%. The final approach was initiated from the northwest, heading 121.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,273 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft maintained a steady course, ensuring a precise touchdown on the runway.
Upon landing, the threshold height was found to be good, indicating that the aircraft touched down at the correct point on the runway. The threshold speed of 140 knots was also within the acceptable range, demonstrating the pilot's skill in managing the aircraft's descent. The touchdown distance of 460 meters was also satisfactory, indicating that the aircraft had sufficient control and stability during the landing process.
However, the touchdown speed of 132 knots was slightly lower than the expected value, which may have resulted in a slightly longer landing distance. The touchdown rate of -216 feet per minute (fpm) was considered fair, suggesting that the aircraft may have experienced a slight loss of altitude during the landing process. Despite this, the runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was well-aligned with the runway centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 19°C and a wind speed of 6 knots from a direction of 130°. The crosswind component was minimal at 1 knot, while the headwind component was 6 knots, which helped to stabilize the aircraft during the landing process. The total landing distance of 1,370 meters was 56% of the runway length, indicating that the aircraft had sufficient control and stability during the landing process.
Finally, the runway rollout alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft maintained a steady course during the rollout phase. Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft demonstrating good control and stability throughout the process.
