MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,982 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,982 m of the 3,352 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 811 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 6 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Boeing 777-300, then departed from runway 22 at UACC Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport in Astana, Kazakhstan. The takeoff distance was 1,289 meters, which is 37% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 191 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of -12°C, with a wind speed of 5 knots at 236°. The crosswind component was 1 knot, while the headwind component was 4 knots. The aircraft began its enroute climb 1 mile southwest of the airport, rising from an altitude of 2,192 feet above sea level to 37,988 feet above sea level, an increase of 35,797 feet in 20 minutes. This climb covered a distance of 134 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 45 miles east of UA33 Arkalyk North in Kazakhstan and lasted for 379 minutes, covering a distance of 2,195 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent 3 miles east of Langenberg in Germany, descending from 37,611 feet above sea level to 1,263 feet above sea level, a decrease of 36,348 feet in 32 minutes. This descent covered a distance of 134 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 27 at EHAM Amsterdam Airport Schiphol was made from the east, with the aircraft heading 267.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,263 feet above ground level. However, a go-around was initiated at 1,129 feet above ground level. The aircraft eventually landed on runway 27, with a touchdown point 393 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 139 knots, which was good, while the touchdown rate was fair at -201 feet per minute.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 7°C, with a wind speed of 7 knots at 238°. The crosswind component was 3 knots, while the headwind component was 6 knots. The total landing distance was 1,900 meters, which is 57% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was perfect. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 3 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 2,472 nautical miles, with a total flight time of 452 minutes. The aircraft used 54,614 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 777-300 aircraft successfully landed at EHAM Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, achieving a score of 89.9%. The final approach to runway 27 was conducted from the east, with a heading of 267.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,263 feet above ground level (agl).
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on the runway, with the threshold height being above the target at 68 feet agl. However, the threshold speed was satisfactory at 145 knots, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The touchdown point was located 393 meters beyond the touchdown zone, which is a relatively safe distance considering the runway length.
The touchdown speed of 139 knots was also within the acceptable range, demonstrating a well-executed landing. However, the touchdown rate of -201 feet per minute (fpm) was only fair, suggesting that the aircraft could have been brought down more smoothly. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway during the landing.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 7°C and a wind speed of 7 knots from a direction of 238°. The crosswind component was minimal at 3 knots, while the headwind component was 6 knots. These conditions were favorable for the landing, with the headwind helping to stabilize the aircraft during the approach.
The total landing distance of 1,900 meters was 57% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was successful, with the aircraft achieving a satisfactory score of 89.9%. However, there is room for improvement in terms of touchdown rate and alignment with the runway during the rollout phase.
