Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
At the 500 ft gate: speed below the reference speed.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 2,000 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,000 m of the 2,266 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 570 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Jorge Newbery Airpark, the Boeing 737-800 began its journey on runway 13, taking 8 minutes to taxi to the runway's threshold. As the aircraft lifted off, it accelerated to a liftoff speed of 155 kt, utilizing 61% of the 1,192-meter runway. The local weather conditions at the time of departure featured a temperature of 23 °C, with a wind of 18 kt at 110 °, resulting in a 4 kt crosswind and a 17 kt headwind.
As the aircraft climbed to its enroute altitude, it began its ascent 1 mile northwest of Retiro, rising from 1,043 ft to 35,328 ft in 19 minutes, covering a distance of 126 nm. The climb was a significant portion of the flight, with an increase of 34,285 ft. Following the climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise 7 miles southeast of Sarandi Grande, lasting 27 minutes and covering 222 nm. The enroute descent commenced 14 miles west of Cangucu, with the aircraft descending from 35,774 ft to 1,284 ft in 21 minutes, covering 124 nm. The final approach to runway 11 at Salgado Filho International Airport was initiated from the west, with the aircraft maintaining a heading of 91.0 ° at 4 nm and 1,258 ft above ground level.
The landing on runway 11 was executed smoothly, with the aircraft touching down 118 m beyond the touchdown zone at a speed of 134 kt. The touchdown rate was -127 fpm, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.1 m from the centerline. The total landing distance was 1,883 m, utilizing 83% of the 2,266-meter runway. Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area in 5 minutes, covering less than 1 nm. The total flight distance was 480 nm, taking 84 minutes, and the aircraft consumed 3,535 kg of fuel during the journey.
The Boeing 737-800 touched down on runway 11 at SBPA Salgado Filho International Airport, demonstrating a good threshold height and speed of 141 kt. The aircraft's approach quality was satisfactory, with a heading of 91.0° at 4 nm and 1,258 ft above ground level. The touchdown point was 118 m beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 134 kt, which was within acceptable limits. The touchdown rate was smooth at -127 fpm, indicating a well-controlled descent.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.1 m from the centreline, which may be attributed to minor deviations in the approach or landing technique. However, the local weather conditions, with a temperature of 25 °C and wind speeds of 7 kt at 200°, did not significantly impact the landing. The crosswind component was 7 kt, while the tailwind component was 2 kt, which may have contributed to the slight deviation from the centreline.
The total landing distance of 1,883 m was 83% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing distance. The runway rollout alignment was very good, demonstrating the pilot's ability to maintain control and direction during the critical phase of the landing. Overall, the landing performance was satisfactory, with a score of 94.6%, reflecting a high level of proficiency and adherence to standard operating procedures.
