Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 13,083 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,041 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with taxiing from the parking to the runway at UKHH Kharkiv International Airport, taking 6 minutes and covering a distance of 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then departed from runway 07, with a takeoff distance of 1,700 feet, which was 21% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 93 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 63°F and a wind speed of 8 knots at 94°. The crosswind was 2 knots, while the headwind was 8 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile east of the airport and reaching an altitude of 29,626 feet above sea level. This climb, which covered a distance of 51 nautical miles, took 18 minutes and involved an increase in altitude of 28,151 feet.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 2 miles south of Parkhomivka and lasted for 21 minutes. During this phase, the aircraft covered a distance of 108 nautical miles. The enroute descent phase began 12 miles northwest of Hrebinka and involved a decrease in altitude of 27,912 feet, from 29,599 feet to 1,687 feet above sea level. This descent, which covered a distance of 50 nautical miles, took 22 minutes.
The final approach to runway 18L at UKBB Boryspil International Airport was made from the north, with a heading of 183.0° and an altitude of 1,263 feet above ground level. The landing was made on a runway with a length of 13,083 feet, and the threshold height was good. The threshold speed was slightly above the target speed at 77 knots.
The touchdown distance was good at 1,036 feet, and the touchdown speed was 64 knots, which was also good. The touchdown rate was -154 feet per minute, which was good as well. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the runway rollout alignment was also perfect after the landing. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 61°F and a wind speed of 5 knots at 111°. The crosswind was 5 knots, while the headwind was 2 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,667 feet, which was 13% of the runway length. The taxiing to the parking from the runway took 3 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 216 nautical miles, and the flight took 74 minutes. The aircraft used 483 pounds of fuel during the flight.
The Vision Jet has successfully landed at UKBB Boryspil International Airport, achieving a remarkable score of 99.6%. The aircraft approached the runway from the north, heading 183.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,263 feet above ground level (agl). This precise approach demonstrates the pilot's skill and attention to detail.
Upon landing on runway 18L, which has a length of 13,083 feet, the aircraft performed well. The threshold height was good, indicating that the pilot maintained a safe altitude before touching down. However, the threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 76 kt, which is a minor deviation. Nevertheless, this did not affect the overall performance of the landing.
The touchdown distance of 1,036 feet was within acceptable limits, and the touchdown speed of 64 kt was also good. The touchdown rate of -154 feet per minute (fpm) was within the desired range, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, demonstrating the pilot's ability to accurately align the aircraft with the runway.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 61°F and a wind speed of 5 kt from 111°. This resulted in a crosswind of 5 kt and a headwind of 2 kt, which the pilot effectively managed during the landing.
The total landing distance of 1,667 feet was only 13% of the runway length, indicating a short and controlled rollout. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect, demonstrating the pilot's ability to maintain control of the aircraft during the post-landing phase. Overall, this landing performance is a testament to the pilot's skill and the Vision Jet's capabilities.
