MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,128 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 140 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 10 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft, an Airbus A319, then departed from runway 24R at CYHU Montréal / Saint-Hubert Airport in Montréal, Quebec, Canada. The takeoff distance was 1,454 meters, which accounted for 71% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 154 knots.
As the aircraft climbed out of CYHU, it began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile southwest of the airport. The climb took 6 minutes and covered a distance of 12 nautical miles, with an increase in altitude from 1,119 feet above sea level to 13,588 feet above sea level. The aircraft then leveled off and entered a cruise phase, flying overhead Saint-Mathieu, Quebec, Canada. This cruise phase lasted 16 minutes and covered a distance of 96 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began its descent, starting overhead Pittsfield, Vermont, United States. The descent took 16 minutes and covered a distance of 85 nautical miles, with a decrease in altitude from 13,745 feet above sea level to 3,543 feet above sea level. The aircraft then leveled off again and entered another cruise phase, flying 2 miles east of Hubbardston, Massachusetts, United States. This cruise phase lasted 5 minutes and covered a distance of 17 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began its final descent, starting 2 miles southeast of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, United States. The descent took 2 minutes and covered a distance of 4 nautical miles, with a decrease in altitude from 3,325 feet above sea level to 2,284 feet above sea level.
The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 29 at KORH Worcester Regional Airport, flying from the east at a heading of 274.0° and at an altitude of 1,295 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 29, which had a length of 2,128 meters. The threshold height was good, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 141 knots.
The aircraft touched down on the runway, with a touchdown distance of 141 meters. However, the touchdown speed was a little fast at 130 knots, and the touchdown rate was very heavy at -708 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was also misaligned by 8.7 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 7°C, with a wind of 18 knots at 299°. The crosswind was 8 knots, and the headwind was 16 knots.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, which took 2 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 230 nautical miles, and the flight took a total of 73 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 2,809 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A319 aircraft successfully landed on runway 29 at Worcester Regional Airport (KORH), achieving an overall score of 84.6%. The final approach was initiated from the east, heading 274.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,295 feet above ground level (agl).
The aircraft touched down on the runway, with a threshold speed that was slightly above the target at 141 knots. The touchdown distance was good, measuring 141 meters, but the touchdown speed was a little fast at 130 knots. The touchdown rate was particularly heavy, at -708 feet per minute (fpm), which may indicate a slightly aggressive approach.
The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 8.7 meters from the centerline, which could have contributed to the subsequent rollout alignment issues. The local weather conditions at the time of landing included a temperature of 7°C, with a wind speed of 18 knots from 299°. This resulted in a crosswind of 8 knots and a headwind of 16 knots, which may have affected the aircraft's approach and landing.
The total landing distance was 1,038 meters, accounting for 49% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was also misaligned by 17.8 meters from the centerline, which may indicate a loss of directional control during the landing roll. Overall, while the landing was successful, there were some areas for improvement, particularly in terms of touchdown speed and rollout alignment.
