Avoid steep turns at low altitude
Below a thousand feet the aeroplane is slow, heavy and close to the ground. A steep turn loses lift, raises the stall speed and flattens the climb just when the gradient matters most. A normal turn on course is a rate one — fifteen degrees or so, twenty-five at the outside, this penalty is to acknowledge when a turn has stopped being a turn and become a manoeuvre.

One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,434 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 313 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Well done on achieving an aircraft landing score of 97.5% - that's an impressive result! Let's break down your performance in each phase of the landing process to see where you excelled and where you can make some improvements.
During the Approach Phase, your glideslope alignment was excellent, showing great skill in maintaining the proper descent angle towards the runway. This is a critical aspect of a successful landing and you executed it flawlessly.
Moving on to the Landing Phase, you had a good threshold height and executed a perfect landing flare. These factors contribute to a smooth touchdown and help ensure a safe and controlled landing.
In the Touchdown Phase, there are a few areas where you can focus on improvement. The touchdown rate was a bit hard, which may have resulted in a firmer landing than desired. Additionally, your speed was slightly above target, so adjusting your approach speed slightly could help you achieve a smoother touchdown in the future. However, it's worth noting that your touchdown distance inside the touchdown zone was on point, showing good accuracy in aiming for the correct spot on the runway. The slight deviation from the centreline can be easily corrected with practice and fine-tuning your approach technique.
Lastly, in the Rollout Phase, your runway alignment was a bit off, with a deviation of 3.6 m from the centreline. This can be improved by paying closer attention to your alignment during the landing rollout and making small adjustments as needed to stay centered on the runway.
Overall, your landing performance was excellent, with strong execution in key areas such as glideslope alignment and landing flare. By focusing on refining your touchdown rate, approach speed, and runway alignment, you can further elevate your skills and aim for even higher scores in future landings. Keep up the great work and continue practicing to fine-tune your technique – you're on the right track to mastering aircraft landings!
