Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 6,518 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 6,518 ft of the 9,708 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,131 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Embraer E190 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at KPVD Theodore Francis Green State Airport, taking approximately 2 minutes and covering less than 1 nautical mile. Departure roll took place on runway 23, with a takeoff distance of 7,320 feet, which was 102% of the runway length. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 177 knots.
As the aircraft climbed to a higher altitude, it encountered local weather conditions of 70°F temperature and a wind speed of 18 knots at 299 degrees. The crosswind was 18 knots, while the headwind was 1 knot. The enroute climb started 1 mile west of Warwick, Rhode Island, and continued for 6 minutes, covering 134 nautical miles. The aircraft climbed from 1,012 feet above sea level to 32,426 feet, an increase of 31,415 feet.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 50 miles east of EM02 Da Nang Static Carrier - CVN69 in Massachusetts. This phase lasted for 8 minutes and covered 263 nautical miles. The aircraft then began another climb, this time from 32,646 feet to 34,278 feet, an increase of 1,633 feet, in just 3 minutes and covering 28 nautical miles. The climb started 108 miles southeast of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada.
The aircraft continued its journey, entering another level cruise phase, which started 105 miles southeast of R082 Halifax Static Carrier - Queen Elizabeth in Nova Scotia, Canada. This phase lasted for 261 minutes, covering 2,232 nautical miles. The aircraft then began another climb, this time from 34,694 feet to 36,678 feet, an increase of 1,984 feet, in just 2 minutes and covering 48 nautical miles. The climb started 81 miles southwest of Hugh Town in the Isles of Scilly, England.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it entered a level cruise phase, which started 61 miles west of LFEC Ouessant Airport Ushant in Bretagne, France. This phase lasted for 21 minutes, covering 568 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, which started 4 miles west of Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhone in Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France. The descent from 36,745 feet to 1,311 feet took 23 minutes and covered 106 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 04R at LFMN Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport was made from the southwest, heading 42.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,290 feet above ground level. The landing took place on runway 04R, which had a length of 9,708 feet. The threshold height was good, but the threshold speed was too high at 131 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 1,119 feet, while the touchdown speed was fast at 127 knots. The touchdown rate was fair at -207 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 66°F temperature and a wind speed of 9 knots at 80 degrees. The crosswind was 5 knots, while the headwind was 7 knots. The total landing distance was 6,232 feet, which was 64% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good. After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, taking approximately 2 minutes and covering less than 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 3,387 nautical miles, taking 334 minutes, and the aircraft used 29,391 pounds of fuel during the flight.
The Embraer E190 aircraft successfully landed at LFMN Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport, achieving a score of 95.9%. The final approach to runway 04R was initiated from the southwest, heading 42.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,290 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft's approach was characterized by a good threshold height, indicating that the pilots maintained a suitable altitude prior to touchdown.
However, there were some areas for improvement during the landing. The threshold speed was too high at 131 knots, which may have resulted in a slightly longer landing distance. Additionally, the touchdown speed of 127 knots was faster than ideal, and the touchdown rate of -207 feet per minute (fpm) was only fair. Despite these issues, the touchdown distance of 1,119 feet was considered good.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 66°F and a wind speed of 9 knots from 80°. The crosswind component was 5 knots, while the headwind component was 7 knots. These conditions likely contributed to a smooth landing, as the aircraft was able to utilize the headwind to its advantage.
The total landing distance of 6,232 feet was 64% of the runway length, indicating that the aircraft was able to stop within a reasonable distance. The runway rollout alignment was very good, suggesting that the pilots maintained control of the aircraft during the rollout phase. Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft achieving a high score despite some minor issues.
