MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,588 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,588 m of the 2,241 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 583 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 8 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, an Airbus A320-214, then departed from runway 01 at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (KDCA). The takeoff distance was 1,237 meters, which accounted for 57% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 145 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 7 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 5 knots at 39 degrees. The crosswind component was 4 knots, while the headwind component was also 4 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting overhead the Washington Potomac Washington (District of Columbia, United States) area. The climb took 19 minutes, during which the aircraft ascended from 890 feet above sea level to 33,835 feet, an increase of 32,944 feet.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which lasted for 95 minutes and covered a distance of 597 nautical miles. The cruise phase started 7 miles northeast of Franklin, West Virginia. The aircraft then began another climb, this time from 34,304 feet to 35,787 feet, an increase of 1,483 feet, in just 2 minutes, covering a distance of 14 nautical miles. This climb started 4 miles west of Wynne, Arkansas.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which lasted for 28 minutes and covered a distance of 191 nautical miles. This cruise phase started 5 miles south of the Robertson Airport McCrory, Arkansas. The aircraft then began its descent, starting 4 miles southwest of Haworth, Oklahoma. The descent took 27 minutes, during which the aircraft descended from 36,670 feet to 1,755 feet, a decrease of 34,916 feet. The descent covered a distance of 122 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 13L at Dallas Love Field (KDAL) was made from the northwest, with a heading of 136.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,262 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 13L, which had a length of 2,241 meters. The threshold height at 56 feet above ground level was slightly above the target, while the threshold speed was well above the target at 146 knots.
The touchdown point was 171 meters beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 139 knots, which was a little fast. However, the touchdown rate was smooth at -148 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the runway rollout alignment was also perfect. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 18 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 6 knots at 130 degrees. The crosswind component was 1 knot, while the headwind component was 6 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,512 meters, which accounted for 67% of the runway. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 4 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 1,033 nautical miles, taking 185 minutes, and the aircraft used 7,526 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A320-214 aircraft successfully landed at Dallas Love Field (KDAL) on runway 13L, achieving a score of 98.3%. The final approach was initiated from the northwest, heading 136.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,262 feet above ground level (agl).
The aircraft touched down on the runway, with the threshold height being slightly above the target at 56 feet agl. However, the threshold speed was well above the target at 146 knots, indicating a slightly aggressive approach. The touchdown point was 171 meters beyond the touchdown zone, which is a relatively minor deviation.
The touchdown speed of 139 knots was a little fast, but the touchdown rate was smooth at -148 feet per minute (fpm). This suggests that the aircraft's descent was controlled and stable, despite the slightly high touchdown speed. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 18°C and a wind speed of 6 knots from 130°. The crosswind component was minimal at 1 knot, while the headwind component was 6 knots, which helped to stabilize the aircraft during the approach.
The total landing distance was 1,512 meters, which is 67% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating that the aircraft was properly configured and controlled during the approach. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect, suggesting that the aircraft's brakes were applied smoothly and effectively.
Overall, the landing was successful, with the aircraft achieving a high score and demonstrating good control and stability during the approach and touchdown.
