Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 152 m above the runway. The 305 m gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,366 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 1,366 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 265 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 6 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Cessna Longitude, then departed from runway 20 at LIEA Alghero-Fertilia Airport in Alghero, Sardegna, Italy. The takeoff distance was 713 meters, which accounted for 24% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 123 knots.
As the aircraft climbed out of Alghero, it encountered local weather conditions of 20°C temperature and a wind speed of 3 knots at 329 degrees. The crosswind was 2 knots, and the tailwind was also 2 knots. The enroute climb started overhead Alghero, where the aircraft ascended from 331 meters above sea level to 10,597 meters above sea level, an increase of 10,265.4 meters in 9 minutes, covering a distance of 23 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise began 3 miles north of Stintino, Sardegna, Italy, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering 10 nautical miles. However, the aircraft then initiated another climb, this time from 10,716 meters above sea level to 11,746 meters above sea level, an increase of 1,030 meters in 3 minutes, covering 25 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise resumed 17 miles southwest of Serra-di-Ferro, Corse, France, and lasted for 73 minutes, covering a significant distance of 574 nautical miles.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its descent from 11,660 meters above sea level to 1,064 meters above sea level, a decrease of 10,596.1 meters in 12 minutes, covering 56 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise started again overhead Terneuzen, Provincie Zeeland, The Netherlands, and lasted for 3 minutes, covering 14 nautical miles. The aircraft then initiated its final descent from 931 meters above sea level to 431 meters above sea level, a decrease of 500 meters in 2 minutes, covering 7 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 11 at EBAW Antwerp International Airport (Deurne) was made from the west, heading 110 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 411 meters above ground level. The landing on runway 11 was successful, with a touchdown distance of 265 meters and a touchdown speed of 93 knots. The touchdown rate was fair at -1.1 meters per second, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 17°C temperature and a wind speed of 5 knots at 70 degrees. The crosswind was 3 knots, and the headwind was 4 knots. The total landing distance was 1,021 meters, which accounted for 75% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 3 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile.
In total, the flight distance was 717 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 116 minutes. The aircraft used 1,921 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Cessna Longitude successfully landed at EBAW Antwerp International Airport (Deurne) with a score of 96.6%. The aircraft approached the runway from the west, heading 110.0° at an altitude of 411.0 meters above ground level (agl) and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway. The pilot maintained a good threshold height, which is a crucial aspect of a safe landing.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's threshold speed was slightly below the target speed of 101 knots, indicating a controlled descent. The touchdown distance of 265 meters was also within acceptable limits, demonstrating the pilot's ability to manage the aircraft's speed and altitude. The touchdown speed of 93 knots was good, as it was close to the target speed, and the touchdown rate of -1.1 meters per second was fair, indicating a relatively smooth landing.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 17°C and a gentle wind of 5 knots at 70°. The crosswind component was minimal at 3 knots, while the headwind component was 4 knots, which helped to stabilize the aircraft during the landing. The total landing distance of 1,021 meters was 75% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing roll.
The runway rollout alignment was very good, demonstrating the pilot's ability to maintain control of the aircraft during the landing roll. Overall, the Cessna Longitude's landing at EBAW Antwerp International Airport (Deurne) was a successful one, with the pilot demonstrating good control and management of the aircraft throughout the approach and landing phases.
