MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
At the 1,000 ft gate: sink rate above what the glideslope needed and off the runway's 3° glideslope.
At the 500 ft gate: sink rate above what the glideslope needed and off the runway's 3° glideslope.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,189 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 515 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a quick taxiing process from the parking area to the runway, taking less than a minute and covering a distance of less than a nautical mile. The Boeing 767-200 aircraft then departed from runway 23 at EDDH Hamburg Helmut Schmidt Airport, with a takeoff distance of 892 meters, which accounted for 32% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 141 knots, and the local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of 15 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 8 knots at 209 degrees.
As the aircraft climbed out of Hamburg, it began its enroute climb, which started overhead the airport and continued for 8 minutes, covering a distance of 40 nautical miles. The aircraft climbed from an initial altitude of 1,105 feet above sea level to a maximum altitude of 17,478 feet, an increase of 16,373 feet. Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which lasted for 12 minutes and covered a distance of 71 nautical miles, 2 miles north-west of Lintig, Germany.
The enroute descent phase began 3 miles south-west of Lindwedel, Germany, and lasted for 3 minutes, covering a distance of 15 nautical miles. The aircraft descended from an altitude of 17,698 feet to 1,487 feet, a decrease of 16,211 feet. The aircraft then began another climb phase, this time from 1,414 feet to 5,554 feet, an increase of 4,140 feet, in just 3 minutes, covering a distance of 1 nautical mile.
The final descent phase began 2 miles north of Burgdorf, Germany, and lasted for 3 minutes, covering a distance of 8 nautical miles. The aircraft descended from an altitude of 5,222 feet to 1,974 feet, a decrease of 3,248 feet. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 27R at EDDV Hannover Airport, flying from the east at a heading of 274.0 degrees, at an altitude of 1,761 feet above ground level, and a distance of 3 nautical miles from the runway.
The landing on runway 27R was successful, with the touchdown point being 423 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 163 knots, and the touchdown rate was hard at -483 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.8 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 15 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 4 knots at 149 degrees.
The total landing distance was 1,766 meters, which accounted for 55% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating a smooth and controlled landing. The total flight distance was 140 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 31 minutes, with a fuel consumption of 48 kilograms.
The Boeing 767-200 aircraft, operated by ANA, successfully landed at EDDV Hannover Airport on runway 27R. The final approach was initiated from the east, heading 274.0° at a distance of 3 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,761 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft's performance during the landing was evaluated, and it scored 85.1%.
The landing was conducted on a runway with a length of 3,189 meters. The threshold height at 70 feet agl was found to be well above the target, indicating that the aircraft had sufficient clearance to safely land. The threshold speed was set at 170 knots, which the aircraft likely maintained during the approach.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft landed 423 meters beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 163 knots. However, the touchdown rate was reported to be hard, at -483 feet per minute (fpm). This suggests that the aircraft may have experienced a slight loss of control or a sudden deceleration upon touchdown.
The runway touchdown position was found to be slightly misaligned by 3.8 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the aircraft's approach path or a miscalculation of the runway alignment. The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were characterized by a temperature of 15°C, with a wind speed of 4 knots at 149°. The crosswind component was 4 knots, while the tailwind component was 2 knots.
The total landing distance was measured at 1,766 meters, which accounted for 55% of the runway length. This indicates that the aircraft had sufficient runway remaining for safe deceleration and rollout. The runway rollout alignment was reported to be very good, suggesting that the aircraft's brakes were applied smoothly and effectively to bring the aircraft to a stop.
Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft scoring 85.1% on its performance. However, the hard touchdown rate and slight misalignment of the runway touchdown position may indicate areas for improvement in the aircraft's approach and landing procedures.
