MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Shorten the long landing
Ground effect becomes significant below about one wingspan of height. A Cessna 172, with a 36 ft span, enters ground effect at flare height - the float it feels in the hold-off is ground effect arriving on cue. An A320, with a span around 117 ft, has been in ground effect since before the threshold and there is no sudden cushion to feel, only a gradual reduction in induced drag that lengthens any float you allow.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 2,815 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,815 m of the 3,998 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 1,674 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Great job on achieving an aircraft landing score of 83.5%! While there were some areas that could use improvement, overall you demonstrated strong skills and control throughout the various phases of the landing.
During the Approach Phase, it's important to focus on maintaining a descent path within the glideslope limit. By adjusting your descent rate and carefully monitoring your altitude, you can ensure a smoother approach and more accurate landing.
In the Landing Phase, be mindful of your threshold height and landing flare. Aiming for a lower threshold height and executing a well-timed and controlled landing flare can help improve your overall touchdown experience.
Although the Touchdown Phase showed a hard touchdown rate, it's positive to see that your speed was on target and the touchdown position on the runway was very good. Finding a balance between a smooth touchdown and maintaining the correct speed will be key in future landings.
Lastly, in the Rollout Phase, focus on improving runway alignment to be closer to the centerline. This will help with overall stability and control as you exit the runway.
Overall, continue to practice and fine-tune your skills in each phase of the landing process. With dedication and focus, you can further improve your aircraft landing score and become an even more confident and skilled pilot. Keep up the great work!
