Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The rest of the report
Departing from Daniel K Inouye International Airport in Honolulu, the Boeing 777-300 began its journey with a taxiing period of 7 minutes, covering 2 nautical miles to reach the runway. The aircraft then took off from runway 08L, utilizing 1,451 meters, or 39% of the runway, to achieve liftoff at a speed of 186 knots. The local weather conditions at the time of departure featured a temperature of 25°C, with a 6-knot wind at 50°, resulting in a 4-knot crosswind and a 5-knot headwind.
As the aircraft climbed to cruising altitude, it first ascended from 913 feet above sea level to 34,996 feet, an increase of 34,083 feet, in 16 minutes and covering 116 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise phase began approximately 69 miles north of Kalaupapa Airport, lasting 107 minutes and covering 846 nautical miles. The aircraft then initiated a second climb phase, increasing its altitude from 34,999 feet to 36,987 feet in just 3 minutes and covering 27 nautical miles. Following this, the aircraft entered a second level cruise phase, lasting 231 minutes and covering 1,933 nautical miles. As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its descent from 36,999 feet to 6,686 feet in 23 minutes and covering 123 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 08 at Denver International Airport was initiated from the west, with the aircraft maintaining a heading of 91.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,322 feet above ground level. The landing was executed on a runway length of 3,655 meters, with a threshold speed of 144 knots and a touchdown point 248 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed of 139 knots was slightly above the desired value, while the touchdown rate of -262 feet per minute was fair. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, and the runway rollout alignment was also satisfactory. Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area in 6 minutes, covering 3 nautical miles. The total flight distance of 3,056 nautical miles was achieved in 397 minutes, with the aircraft consuming 47,873 kilograms of fuel.
The Boeing 777-300 touched down on runway 08 at KDEN Denver International Airport with a satisfactory approach quality, characterized by a good threshold height and speed. The aircraft was established on the final approach from the west, heading 91.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,322 feet above ground level. The threshold speed of 144 knots was well within the acceptable range, indicating a smooth transition from the approach to the touchdown phase.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's speed of 139 knots was slightly above the ideal, resulting in a touchdown rate of -262 feet per minute, which was considered fair. However, the runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating a high degree of control and precision during the landing. The touchdown point was 248 meters beyond the touchdown zone, which was not excessively far off. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 14°C and a gentle headwind of 4 knots, contributed to a relatively smooth landing.
The total landing distance of 1,754 meters, accounting for 48% of the runway length, was within acceptable limits. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, demonstrating the pilot's ability to maintain control and stability during the critical phase of the landing. Overall, the landing was considered satisfactory, with a score of 93.5%.
