MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,928 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 370 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in the Boeing 737-600 started with a short distance from parking to the runway, which was less than 1 nm. The duration of this initial part of the flight was only 2 minutes. The departure roll took place on runway 15 at FOON M'vengue, with a takeoff distance of 773 m, which was 25% of the total runway length. The liftoff speed was 132 knots. The local weather at the departure airport was 25 °C, with a wind speed of 1 knot at 168 °, resulting in a negligible crosswind of 0 knots and a headwind of 1 knot.
After takeoff, the enroute climb started overhead FOON M'vengue, climbing from 2,440 ft asl to 40,827 ft asl, covering a distance of 268 nm in 35 minutes. The next phase of the flight was the level cruise, which began 29 miles northeast of FNMQ Maquela Maquela and lasted 44 minutes, covering a distance of 1,341 nm.
The descent started 22 miles west of FAPN Pilanesberg Intl Pilanesberg, descending from 41,225 ft asl to 7,644 ft asl over a distance of 72 nm in 11 minutes. Another level cruise segment started overhead FAKR Krugersdorp before a short descent 1 mile north of Krugersdorp, descending from 7,641 ft asl to 6,624 ft asl over a distance of 4 nm in 1 minute.
The final part of the flight involved landing on runway 07 at FALA Lanseria Intl, with a runway length of 2,928 m. The height at the threshold was 27 ft agl, with a speed at the threshold of 113 knots. The touchdown occurred 369 m from the threshold, with a touchdown speed of 109 knots and a VSI of -347 ft/m. The local weather at the destination airport was 25 °C, with a wind speed of 6 knots at 70 °, resulting in a crosswind of 2 knots and a headwind of 6 knots.
The total landing distance was 793 m, which was 27% of the runway length. The distance from the runway to the parking area was again less than 1 nm, with a duration of 1 minute. The total flight distance covered was 1,696 nm, which took 98 minutes and consumed 8,317 kg of fuel.
