Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,542 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 436 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a short taxiing period from the parking area to the runway, taking approximately 1 minute and covering less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Cessna C172, then departed from runway 27 at KTKV Tomahawk Regional Airport. The takeoff distance was 166 meters, which accounted for 12% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 59 knots, and the local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of -10°C, with a wind speed of 10 knots at 282°.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it reached an altitude of 4,560 feet above sea level, increasing from an initial altitude of 1,889 feet. This climb phase took 3 minutes and covered a distance of 4 nautical miles. The enroute climb started overhead KTKV Tomahawk Regional Airport, and the aircraft continued to climb to the desired altitude.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which lasted for 42 minutes and covered a distance of 67 nautical miles. This phase of the flight took place 5 miles southwest of KTKV Tomahawk Regional Airport. The aircraft then began its descent, starting 1 mile south of 3WI9 Rosenbaum Field Chippewa Falls. The descent from 4,588 feet to 3,922 feet took 2 minutes and covered a distance of 4 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which lasted for 9 minutes and covered a distance of 11 nautical miles. This phase took place 1 mile northwest of 3WN8 Blunt Field Chippewa Falls. The aircraft then began its final descent, starting 1 mile north of Elk Mound. The descent from 2,714 feet to 1,950 feet took 2 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 27 at KLUM Menomonie Municipal Score Field was made from the east, with a heading of 269.0° and an altitude of 1,056 feet above ground level. The aircraft was 4 nautical miles from the runway at this point. The landing was made on runway 27, which had a length of 1,542 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed of 53 knots was well below the target speed, requiring the pilot to be cautious to avoid stalling.
The touchdown distance was good at 433 meters, and the touchdown speed of 43 knots was also satisfactory. The touchdown rate was excellent at -71 feet per minute. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 5.8 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of -4°C, with a wind speed of 11 knots at 280°.
The total landing distance was 597 meters, which accounted for 39% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating a smooth and controlled landing. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking area took approximately 1 minute and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 94 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 69 minutes. The aircraft used 8 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Cessna C172 aircraft successfully landed at KLUM Menomonie Municipal Score Field, achieving a score of 95.5%. The final approach to runway 27 was conducted from the east, heading 269.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,056 feet above ground level.
The aircraft touched down on the runway with a good touchdown distance of 433 meters, which is well within the acceptable range. The touchdown speed of 43 knots was also satisfactory, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The touchdown rate of -71 feet per minute was excellent, demonstrating a high degree of precision and control during the landing.
However, there was a slight deviation from the centerline, with the runway touchdown position being 5.8 meters off-center. This may be attributed to the crosswind component, which was relatively low at 2 knots. The headwind, on the other hand, was 11 knots, which likely contributed to the aircraft's stable approach and touchdown.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of -4°C and a wind speed of 11 knots from 280°. These conditions presented a moderate challenge for the pilot, but the aircraft's performance and the pilot's skills were sufficient to overcome them.
The total landing distance of 597 meters was 39% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. This indicates a high degree of control and precision during the landing, as well as a well-executed approach and touchdown.
The runway rollout alignment was very good, suggesting that the pilot maintained control of the aircraft during the post-landing phase and was able to bring it to a stop in a stable and controlled manner. Overall, the landing was a success, with the aircraft and pilot demonstrating a high level of proficiency and control.
