Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,559 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,559 m of the 2,994 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 406 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport, taking approximately 3 minutes to cover less than 1 nautical mile. The departure roll took place on runway 24, with the takeoff distance covering 62% of the runway's length at 1,738 meters. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 160 knots.
As the aircraft climbed out of the airport, it encountered local weather conditions of 30°C temperature and a 4-knot headwind at 240 degrees. The enroute climb started approximately 1 mile southwest of the airport, with the aircraft ascending from 1,140 feet above sea level to 4,573 feet, an increase of 3,432 feet in 3 minutes, covering a distance of 13 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise began 2 miles northeast of Rumpin Airport, lasting 2 minutes and covering 8 nautical miles. The aircraft then initiated another climb, this time from 4,700 feet to 33,441 feet, an increase of 28,741 feet in 16 minutes, covering a distance of 96 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise resumed 3 miles northeast of Way Jepara Airport, lasting 3 minutes and covering 25 nautical miles.
As the aircraft began its descent, it started 11 miles east of Gunung Batin Airport, descending from 33,453 feet to 1,328 feet, a decrease of 32,125 feet in 23 minutes, covering a distance of 112 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 29 at Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport was made from the east, with the aircraft heading 293.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,271 feet above ground level.
The landing took place on runway 29, with the aircraft touching down at a speed of 125 knots and a distance of 405 meters. The touchdown rate was fair at -223 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.2 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 26°C temperature and a 3-knot tailwind at 150 degrees.
The total landing distance was 1,477 meters, covering 49% of the runway's length. The runway rollout alignment was very good, and the aircraft taxied to the parking area from the runway in 4 minutes, covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 263 nautical miles, taking 59 minutes, and the aircraft used 2,199 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at WIPP Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport, achieving a high score of 99.3%. The aircraft approached the runway from the east, heading 293.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,271 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with precision, and the aircraft landed safely on runway 29, which has a length of 2,994 meters.
The threshold height was good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct altitude as it approached the runway. The threshold speed of 132 knots was also within the acceptable range, demonstrating the pilot's ability to manage the aircraft's speed during the landing phase. The touchdown distance of 405 meters was also good, indicating that the aircraft was able to touch down within a safe distance from the runway threshold.
However, there were some minor issues with the landing. The touchdown speed of 125 knots was good, but the touchdown rate of -223 feet per minute (fpm) was only fair. A higher touchdown rate can indicate a more controlled descent, which is generally preferred. Additionally, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.2 meters from the centerline, which may require some adjustments to the pilot's approach and landing technique.
The local weather conditions were favorable for the landing, with a temperature of 26°C and a wind speed of 3 knots at 150°. The crosswind was minimal at 2 knots, and the tailwind was 3 knots, which is relatively weak. These conditions suggest that the pilot had a relatively easy time managing the aircraft's speed and direction during the landing phase.
The total landing distance of 1,477 meters was 49% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance. This indicates that the pilot was able to bring the aircraft to a stop quickly and safely. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the pilot was able to maintain control of the aircraft during the rollout phase and bring it to a stop in a straight line.
Overall, the landing was successful, and the pilot demonstrated good skills and judgment in managing the aircraft's speed, altitude, and direction during the approach and landing phase. However, there were some minor issues that may require some adjustments to the pilot's technique to achieve a perfect score.
