Improve the pattern downwind leg
The one change that would have gained the most on this flight, and the guide passage for it.
The 45-degrees-behind-the-wing cue assumes you can turn your head and use peripheral vision. Downwind spacing cues like "put the wingtip halfway up the strut" assume a fixed, known eyepoint. Neither survives a monitor unmodified. If you fly on a fixed monitor, stop pretending and fly a numbers-based circuit.

One stabilised approach gate for a circuit: six checks at the point nearest 500 ft above the runway after the base turn. The 1,000 ft gate is an instrument-approach check and does not apply.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,490 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 354 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Cessna Skyhawk taxied to runway 23 at EHGG Groningen Airport Eelde and commenced the departure roll. The takeoff roll covered 411 m, representing 17 % of the runway, and the aircraft lifted off at 60 kt. Local weather reported a temperature of 15 °C, wind 1 kt from 273°, with zero cross-wind and head-wind components.
The aircraft entered a left-hand pattern from runway 23, covering less than 1 nm in 17 seconds.
A left-hand pattern crosswind leg followed, also less than 1 nm and completed in 23 seconds.
During the pattern downwind turn the aircraft flew 1 nm while turning to an angle of 99.3° relative to the runway.
The downwind leg extended 2 nm and was flown in 76 seconds.
The base turn was executed over 1 nm with a 55.0° angle to the runway.
The base leg was less than 1 nm and lasted 35 seconds.
The final turn covered less than 1 nm and was completed in 24 seconds.
On final approach the aircraft aligned with runway 23 from the north-east, heading 231.0°, at 0 nm distance and 101 ft AGL.
Landing was made on runway 23, whose length is 2,493 m. The threshold speed was slightly above target at 63 kt. Touchdown occurred 358 m down the runway at 46 kt with a touchdown rate of minus 64 fpm, and runway alignment was perfect. Weather conditions remained temperature 15 °C, wind 1 kt from 273°, with no cross-wind or head-wind.
The rollout distance measured 626 m, representing 25 % of the runway, and rollout alignment was perfect.
In total the flight covered 6 nm, taking 6, and consumed 2 kg of fuel.
The final approach to runway 23 at EHGG Groningen Airport Eelde was flown from the north-east on a heading of 231.0° with the aircraft at 0 nm and 101 ft agl. Local weather was 15 °C with a wind of 1 kt from 273°, resulting in a crosswind of 0 kt and a headwind of 0 kt.
At threshold the height was reported as good and the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 63 kt. The flare was executed in line with the approach parameters.
Touchdown occurred 358 m down the runway at a speed of 46 kt, a touchdown rate of minus 64 fpm, and runway-touchdown alignment was perfect.
The total landing distance was 626 m, representing 25 % of the 2,493 m runway, and rollout alignment remained perfect throughout the ground roll.
With a final score of 98.5 % the landing was excellent; fine-tuning the approach speed to meet the exact target will further reduce the slight excess observed at threshold.
