Work on the flare
See Arrival Landing
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,662 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,662 m of the 3,346 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 776 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from RJGG Chubu Centrair International Airport, the Boeing 777F began its journey with a taxiing period of 4 minutes, covering a distance of 1 nautical mile. As it rolled down runway 36, the aircraft accelerated to a liftoff speed of 191 knots, achieving a takeoff distance of 2,204 meters, which accounted for 63% of the runway's length. The local weather conditions at the time of departure featured a temperature of 21°C, with a gentle wind of 2 knots at 220°.
As the aircraft climbed out of RJGG, it ascended from 983 feet above sea level to 30,993 feet, a vertical increase of 30,010 feet, within a 30-minute period. The enroute climb phase was followed by a prolonged level cruise, which lasted for 315 minutes and covered a distance of 2,300 nautical miles. The aircraft then underwent another climb phase, this time from 31,287 feet to 33,935 feet, a vertical increase of 2,648 feet, within a 5-minute period. The subsequent level cruise phase lasted for 260 minutes and covered 1,940 nautical miles. As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its descent from 34,010 feet to 1,558 feet, a vertical decrease of 32,452 feet, within a 17-minute period.
The Boeing 777F finally landed on runway 12L at OBBI Bahrain International Airport, with a touchdown point 359 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed of 138 knots and the touchdown rate of -181 feet per minute were both within acceptable limits. The aircraft's total landing distance of 1,580 meters accounted for 47% of the runway's length. Following a taxiing period of 1 minute, the aircraft came to a stop, having completed a total flight distance of 4,591 nautical miles within 638 minutes, while consuming 92,800 kilograms of fuel.
The Boeing 777F touched down on runway 12L at OBBI Bahrain International Airport, demonstrating a good approach quality. The aircraft descended from an altitude of 1,279 ft agl to a threshold height that was satisfactory, considering the local weather conditions of 22 °C and a 5 kt headwind. The threshold speed of 152 kt was slightly above the target, but still within acceptable limits.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's speed of 138 kt was good, and the touchdown rate of -181 fpm was also satisfactory. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 5.0 m from the centreline, which may have been due to the slight crosswind component. The touchdown point was 359 m beyond the touchdown zone, which is a relatively long distance but still within the acceptable range. The total landing distance of 1,580 m, accounting for 47% of the runway length, was also within the expected parameters.
The rollout phase was executed well, with the aircraft maintaining a very good alignment with the centreline. Overall, the landing performance of the Boeing 777F was satisfactory, with a score of 91.3%. While there were some minor deviations from the ideal, the aircraft's handling and control were demonstrated to be within acceptable limits.
