MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
At the 1,000 ft gate: speed 7 kt SLOW on the reference speed of 140 kt.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 2,053 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,053 m of the 2,190 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 1,353 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Piarco International Airport in Trinidad and Tobago, the Boeing 737-800 began its journey with a taxiing period of four minutes, covering a distance of one nautical mile. As it rolled onto runway 10, the aircraft accelerated to a liftoff speed of 167 knots, achieving a takeoff distance of 1,453 meters, which accounted for 46% of the available runway length. The local weather conditions at the time of departure featured a temperature of 29 degrees Celsius, with a gentle headwind of 4 knots.
As the aircraft climbed to its initial cruising altitude, it traversed a distance of 39 nautical miles in seven minutes, increasing its altitude by 16,063 feet. The enroute climb phase was punctuated by several level cruise segments, with the aircraft maintaining a steady altitude and airspeed. Notably, the climb from 16,998 feet to 34,494 feet in 14 minutes covered a distance of 106 nautical miles. The aircraft's fuel efficiency was evident in its ability to cover a total distance of 648 nautical miles, utilizing 4,870 kilograms of fuel throughout the flight.
Upon approaching Princess Juliana International Airport in Saint Martin, the aircraft initiated its final descent, reducing its altitude from 34,994 feet to 2,749 feet in 30 minutes. The landing on runway 10 was notable for its long touchdown point, which utilized more than 50% of the available runway. The aircraft's touchdown speed of 133 knots was slightly above the target, while its touchdown rate of -213 feet per minute was fair. Following a taxiing period of one minute, the aircraft came to a stop, concluding its journey.
The Boeing 737-800 touched down on runway 10 at TNCM Princess Juliana International Airport, a challenging approach due to the significant height of 86 ft above the threshold at 4 nm and 1,362 ft agl. The aircraft's approach quality was satisfactory, with a threshold speed of 136 kt, meeting the target. However, the touchdown point was located beyond the midpoint of the runway, utilizing more than 50% of the available 2,295 m length.
The touchdown characteristics were notable, with a speed of 133 kt, slightly above the ideal, and a touchdown rate of -213 fpm, which was fair. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 5.9 m from the centreline, indicating a minor deviation from the desired path. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 27 °C and a headwind of 19 kt, contributed to the overall performance.
The total landing distance of 2,077 m, accounting for 91% of the runway length, was a notable aspect of the landing. The runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned by 8.8 m from the centreline, indicating a minor deviation from the desired path. Overall, the landing performance scored 75.1%, reflecting a satisfactory but not exceptional execution of the landing.
