Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,353 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 392 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in the Douglas DC-3 began with a 6-minute taxi from the parking area to the runway at EGPH Edinburgh Airport. Departing from runway 24, the aircraft had a takeoff distance of 447 meters, covering 21% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 72 knots. The local weather at the time of departure was 4°C with a 4-knot wind coming from 260°, resulting in a 2-knot crosswind and a 4-knot headwind.
The enroute climb commenced over Ratho Station in the City of Edinburgh, Scotland. The aircraft climbed from 836 feet above sea level to 1,477 feet, gaining 641 feet in altitude in 1 minute and covering 2 nautical miles. Following the climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase which started 1 mile southeast of Winchburgh in West Lothian, Scotland. This phase lasted 2 minutes and covered 4 nautical miles.
The landing took place on runway 05 at EGPF Glasgow International Airport, which has a runway length of 2,353 meters. The aircraft approached the runway at a height of 34 feet above ground level with a speed of 76 knots. The touchdown occurred 390 meters from the threshold at a speed of 66 knots, with a Vertical Speed Indicator (VSI) reading of -127 feet per minute. The local weather at the time of landing was 5°C with a 2-knot wind coming from 298°, resulting in a 2-knot crosswind and a 1-knot tailwind. The total landing distance was 1,282 meters, representing 54% of the runway length.
After landing, the aircraft taxied from the runway to the parking area in 2 minutes, covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 41 nautical miles, with a total flight time of 36 minutes. The flight consumed 102 kilograms of fuel.
Congratulations on achieving a stellar aircraft landing score of 98.3%! Let's break down your performance in each phase of the landing process for further analysis.
Starting with the Approach Phase, your glideslope alignment was excellent, indicating precise control and navigation of the aircraft during descent. Although your speed was slightly below target, this can be easily adjusted in future landings with a slight increase in throttle control.
Moving on to the Landing Phase, your performance was commendable. Your threshold height was good, enhancing safety during the landing process. Additionally, executing a perfect landing flare allowed for a smooth transition from descent to touchdown, showcasing your skill and finesse in handling the aircraft.
In the Touchdown Phase, your touchdown rate was smooth and the speed was on target, contributing to a stable and controlled landing. The fact that the touchdown distance was inside the touchdown zone reflects your ability to accurately judge the aircraft's position relative to the runway. Furthermore, achieving a very good runway touchdown position demonstrates your proficiency in landing the aircraft precisely where intended.
Lastly, in the Rollout Phase, while the runway alignment was slightly off by 3.8 meters from the centerline, this can be further improved with practice and attention to detail in maintaining alignment during touchdown and rollout.
Overall, your impressive aircraft landing score highlights your strong piloting skills and ability to effectively execute each phase of the landing process. Keep up the excellent work and continue to refine your techniques for even greater precision and consistency in future landings. Well done!
