Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks at 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,092 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 480 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The aircraft taxied from the parking area to runway 17 at ENBR Bergen Airport, Flesland, a movement that lasted 9 minutes and covered 2 nm.
During the departure roll on runway 17, the A320-ceo accelerated to a liftoff speed of 158 kt and became airborne after a take-off distance of 1,425 m, representing 53 % of the runway. Ambient conditions were a temperature of 15 °C, wind 24 kt from 230°, with a 20 kt cross-wind component and a 12 kt head-wind component.
Climb commenced 1 mile south of Flesland, with the aircraft ascending from 1,067 ft asl to 35,003 ft asl, a gain of 33,936 ft achieved in 19 minutes while covering 125 nm.
The first cruise segment began 2 miles north-east of Flekkefjord and continued for 23 minutes, during which 180 nm were traversed.
Descent started 4 miles north of EKGE Gesten, with altitude decreasing from 34,990 ft asl to 10,249 ft asl, a loss of 24,740 ft over 14 minutes and a distance of 93 nm.
A brief cruise over Preetz lasted 2 minutes and covered 8 nm.
The next descent began 1 mile west of Stocksee, dropping from 10,010 ft asl to 3,011 ft asl, a reduction of 6,999 ft in 5 minutes while flying 20 nm.
A subsequent cruise segment over Elmenhorst lasted 3 minutes and spanned 8 nm.
Final approach to runway 23 at EDDH Hamburg Helmut Schmidt Airport involved a descent from 1,304 ft agl to 72 ft agl in 108 seconds, with the aircraft scoring on the stabilisation gates.
Landing on runway 23 was executed with a threshold speed of 143 kt, a touchdown point 112 m beyond the touchdown zone, and a touchdown speed of 133 kt. The vertical speed at touchdown was minus 144 fpm and alignment was perfect. Local weather reported a temperature of 19 °C, wind 17 kt from 230°, with no cross-wind and a 17 kt head-wind. The total landing distance recorded was 1,232 m, equivalent to 40 % of the runway.
Runway rollout proceeded with very good alignment, completing the landing phase.
The aircraft taxied from the runway to the parking stand in 6 minutes, covering less than 1 nm.
In total, the flight covered 443 nm, required 83 minutes of airborne time, and consumed 3,153 kg of fuel.
The approach to runway 23 at EDDH Hamburg Helmut Schmidt Airport was assessed as stabilised at the 1 000 ft gate, with gear, flaps, sink rate, glideslope, centreline and speed all within limits. The aircraft descended from 1 304 ft agl to 72 ft agl in 108 seconds, maintaining the required parameters throughout the final approach. Local weather was 19 °C with wind 17 kt from 230°, giving a head-wind component of 17 kt and no cross-wind.
At threshold the height was good and the threshold speed was slightly above target at 143 kt, indicating a minor excess over the expected value during the flare segment.
Touchdown occurred 112 m beyond the touchdown zone with a speed of 133 kt, described as a little fast, and the vertical rate was smooth at minus 144 fpm. Runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
Rollout used a total landing distance of 1 232 m, representing 40 % of the 3 092 m runway, and runway rollout alignment was very good.
Minor refinements should focus on reducing the approach and touchdown speeds to the target values and aiming to touch down within the designated zone to fully utilise the runway length.
