Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,696 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,696 m of the 3,689 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 463 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with taxiing from the parking to the runway at UWSG Gagarin International Airport, taking 6 minutes and covering 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then departed from runway 26, with a takeoff distance of 1,070 meters, which was 39% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 142 knots, and the local weather conditions were a temperature of 3°C, with a wind speed of 3 knots at 280°.
As the aircraft climbed out of the airport, it began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile west of the airport and reaching an altitude of 19,827 feet above sea level. This climb phase covered 27 nautical miles and took 7 minutes, with an increase in altitude of 18,715 feet. The aircraft then entered a level cruise phase, starting 16 miles south east of UPET Petrovsk Air Base, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering 10 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began another enroute climb, starting 11 miles south of UPET Petrovsk Air Base, and climbed to an altitude of 36,325 feet above sea level. This climb phase covered 66 nautical miles and took 10 minutes, with an increase in altitude of 15,674 feet. The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, starting 6 miles east of ZEE7 Lermontovo Airport, and lasted for 25 minutes, covering 161 nautical miles.
As the aircraft continued its journey, it began an enroute descent, starting 2 miles south east of Novomichurinsk, and descended to an altitude of 25,630 feet above sea level. This descent phase covered 51 nautical miles and took 9 minutes, with a decrease in altitude of 11,355 feet. The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, starting 16 miles south west of Zaraysk, and lasted for 7 minutes, covering 41 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began another enroute descent, starting 2 miles north east of UUCT Mikhnevo Airport, and descended to an altitude of 19,693 feet above sea level. This descent phase covered 20 nautical miles and took 3 minutes, with a decrease in altitude of 5,904 feet. The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, starting overhead Klimovsk, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering 8 nautical miles.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began an enroute descent, starting 2 miles east of Vatutinki, and descended to an altitude of 1,871 feet above sea level. This descent phase covered 31 nautical miles and took 17 minutes, with a decrease in altitude of 17,816 feet. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 24L at UUEE Sheremetyevo International Airport, from the east, heading 255.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,242 feet above ground level.
The aircraft landed on runway 24L, with a touchdown point 50 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 140 knots, which was fast, and the touchdown rate was firm at -305 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the local weather conditions were a temperature of 0°C, with a wind speed of 6 knots at 220°.
The total landing distance was 1,618 meters, which was 44% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect. After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking from the runway, taking 3 minutes and covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 422 nautical miles, taking 93 minutes, and the aircraft used 3,411 kilograms of fuel.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed on runway 24L at UUEE Sheremetyevo International Airport, achieving a high score of 98.0%. The aircraft approached the runway from the east, heading 255.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,242 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with precision, and the aircraft landed on the designated runway.
The threshold height was satisfactory, and the threshold speed was well above the target speed of 149 kt, indicating a controlled and stable approach. However, the touchdown point was 50 meters beyond the touchdown zone, which may indicate a slight deviation from the intended landing spot. The touchdown speed of 140 kt was faster than the desired speed, resulting in a firm touchdown rate of -305 feet per minute (fpm).
The local weather conditions were moderate, with a temperature of 0°C and wind speeds of 6 kt at 220°. The crosswind component was 4 kt, while the headwind component was 5 kt. Despite these conditions, the aircraft maintained perfect runway touchdown alignment, ensuring a safe and stable landing.
The total landing distance was 1,618 meters, which accounted for 44% of the runway length. This indicates that the aircraft had sufficient runway remaining for safe deceleration and rollout. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect, demonstrating the pilot's skill and control during the landing phase.
Overall, the Airbus A320's landing on runway 24L at UUEE Sheremetyevo International Airport was a successful operation, with the aircraft executing a precise and controlled approach, touchdown, and rollout.
