Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,859 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 512 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Toulouse-Blagnac Airport's runway 32L, the Airbus A319 began its journey with a taxiing period of 6 minutes, covering a distance of 1 nautical mile. As the aircraft accelerated down the runway, it lifted off at a speed of 166 knots, utilizing 49% of the 1,707-meter runway. The local weather conditions at the time of departure featured a temperature of 10°C, with a 14-knot wind blowing from 300°, resulting in a 5-knot crosswind and a 13-knot headwind.
As the aircraft climbed to its enroute cruise altitude, it passed overhead Cornebarrieu, France, and continued to ascend to 35,961 feet above sea level, a gain of 34,476 feet in 18 minutes, covering a distance of 102 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise phase commenced 1 mile northeast of Sorges, France, and lasted for 79 minutes, during which the aircraft covered 565 nautical miles. Subsequently, the aircraft began its descent from 36,024 feet above sea level, passing overhead Weener, Germany, and descending to 1,348 feet above sea level in 25 minutes, covering 126 nautical miles.
Upon reaching the final approach phase, the aircraft aligned with runway 23 at Hamburg-Finkenwerder Airport, approaching from the northeast at a heading of 232.0°. The aircraft touched down 90 meters beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 128 knots, slightly above the recommended threshold speed of 132 knots. The touchdown rate was, however, excellent at -99 feet per minute. The aircraft's runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.3 meters from the centerline. Following a total landing distance of 1,339 meters, which accounted for 72% of the 1,859-meter runway, the aircraft taxied to the parking area in 2 minutes, covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 802 nautical miles, with a flight time of 135 minutes and a fuel consumption of 5,087 kilograms.
The aircraft, an Airbus A319, commenced its final approach to runway 23 at EDHI Hamburg-Finkenwerder Airport from the north east, aligning with the heading of 232.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,324 feet above ground level. The approach quality was satisfactory, with a good threshold height and a threshold speed of 132 knots, which was within the acceptable range.
As the aircraft touched down on the runway, it was 90 meters beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 128 knots, slightly above the ideal speed. However, the touchdown rate was excellent at -99 feet per minute, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centreline by 3.3 meters, but the rollout alignment was very good, demonstrating the pilot's ability to maintain control and stability during the critical phases of the landing.
The total landing distance was 1,339 meters, accounting for 72% of the runway length. Considering the local weather conditions, with a temperature of 8°C and wind speeds of 14 knots at 280°, the crosswind component was 10 knots and the headwind component was 9 knots, the pilot's performance was commendable. Overall, the landing was scored 99.3%, reflecting the high level of proficiency and control demonstrated by the pilot during the approach, touchdown, and rollout phases.
