Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: seven checks where the approach path is 300 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
At the 300 ft gate: off the runway's 3° glideslope.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,207 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 646 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Taxiing from the parking area to the runway at KPRC Prescott International Airport - Ernest A. Love Field took approximately 6 minutes, covering a distance of 1 nautical mile. The Cessna 208B then began its departure roll on runway 03R, utilizing 1,295 meters or 59% of the available runway length. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 87 knots, taking advantage of the 7-knot headwind.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it transitioned into an enroute climb, ascending from 5,891 feet above sea level to 7,229 feet above sea level over a distance of 2 nautical miles. This climb phase was completed in just 1 minute, with an increase of 1,338 feet. Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, maintaining an altitude of 7,229 feet above sea level for 2 minutes while covering 3 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, reducing its altitude from 6,972 feet above sea level to 6,407 feet above sea level over a distance of 3 nautical miles. A subsequent level cruise phase was initiated, lasting 11 minutes and covering 19 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 03R was conducted from the southwest, with the aircraft descending to 700 feet above ground level at a distance of 1 nautical mile from the runway threshold. The landing was completed at a speed of 59 knots, which was slightly below the target threshold speed. The touchdown point was located 183 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 52 knots, indicating a good touchdown. The total landing distance was 953 meters, accounting for 43% of the available runway length. Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, taking approximately 5 minutes to cover a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 32 nautical miles, with a total flight time of 28 minutes and a fuel consumption of 61 kilograms.
The aircraft touched down on runway 03R at KPRC Prescott International Airport - Ernest A. Love Field, with a threshold height of 100 ft agl, significantly exceeding the target height. The approach quality was satisfactory, considering the challenging conditions. The threshold speed of 59 kt was slightly below the target, but still within acceptable limits.
The touchdown point was located 183 m beyond the designated touchdown zone, indicating a slightly long touchdown. However, the touchdown speed of 52 kt was good, and the touchdown rate of -326 fpm was firm, suggesting a controlled descent. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, with the aircraft centered on the runway. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 15 °C and a headwind of 9 kt, contributed to the overall performance.
The total landing distance of 953 m was 43% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short rollout. The runway rollout alignment was very good, with the aircraft maintaining its centerline alignment throughout the rollout phase. Overall, the landing performance scored 80.5%, reflecting a satisfactory outcome despite some minor deviations from the target parameters.
