Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks at 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 12,766 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 1,694 ft past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The aircraft taxied from the parking area to the runway at KTUS Tucson International Airport in 6 minutes, covering 1 nm.
During the departure roll on runway 11L, the aircraft accelerated over a takeoff distance of 2,635 ft, representing 24 % of the runway, and lifted off at 92 kt. Ambient conditions were a temperature of 83 °F, wind 4 kt from 170°, with a 2 kt cross-wind component and a 4 kt head-wind component.
Climb commenced 2 mi east of Summit, Arizona, with the aircraft ascending from 3,771 ft asl to 30,995 ft asl, a gain of 27,224 ft achieved in 23 minutes while covering 87 nm.
The first cruise segment began 9 mi south-east of Bowie, Arizona, and lasted 27 minutes, during which the aircraft travelled 151 nm at level altitude.
Descent started 12 mi south-east of NM66 Poco Loco Airport Pie Town, New Mexico, with a reduction from 31,000 ft asl to 18,316 ft asl, a loss of 12,684 ft in 8 minutes over 47 nm.
A brief cruise followed 8 mi south-west of Highland Meadows, New Mexico, lasting 2 minutes and covering 8 nm.
The next descent began 2 mi south-east of Highland Meadows, descending from 17,993 ft asl to 8,688 ft asl, a decrease of 9,305 ft in 2 minutes across 8 nm.
A short cruise segment originated 7 mi west of Pajarito Mesa, New Mexico, lasting 6 minutes and encompassing 18 nm.
The final descent started 4 mi south-west of KAEG Double Eagle II Airport Albuquerque, with the aircraft dropping from 8,303 ft asl to 6,588 ft asl, a loss of 1,716 ft in 3 minutes while covering 8 nm.
On final approach to runway 08 at KABQ Albuquerque International Sunport, the aircraft descended from 1,313 ft agl to 88 ft agl in 108 seconds and was scored on the stabilisation gates.
Landing on runway 08, which is 12,766 ft long, the aircraft’s threshold height at 61 ft agl was above target, while the threshold speed of 87 kt was acceptable. Touchdown occurred 272 ft beyond the touchdown zone at a speed of 70 kt, with a touchdown rate of minus 184 fpm and a lateral deviation of 12 ft from the centreline. Local weather reported a temperature of 61 °F, wind 8 kt from 310°, a 5 kt cross-wind component and a 6 kt tail-wind component.
The rollout distance measured 3,633 ft, representing 28 % of the runway, and alignment during rollout was very good.
The aircraft taxied from the runway to the parking area in 5 minutes, covering 2 nm.
In total, the flight covered 338 nm, required 84 minutes of flight time, and consumed 534 lb of fuel.
The aircraft made its final approach to runway 08 at KABQ Albuquerque International Sunport, descending from 1,313 ft agl to 88 ft agl in 108 seconds. At the 1,000 ft gate the approach was assessed as unstable, being more than 20 kt above VREF, and the flight was scored on the stabilisation gates. Local weather was 61 °F with wind 8 kt from 310°, including a 5 kt crosswind component and a 6 kt tailwind component.
During the threshold and flare phase the threshold height of 61 ft agl was above the target, while the threshold speed of 87 kt was judged good.
Touchdown occurred 272 ft beyond the touchdown zone with a speed of 70 kt, noted as a little fast, and a vertical rate of -184 fpm, which was rated good. The touchdown point was slightly misaligned, 12 ft off the centreline, and the total landing distance was 3,633 ft, representing 28 % of the runway length.
Rollout alignment was very good, and the aircraft remained well aligned with the runway centreline throughout the rollout.
To improve the score further, reduce the final-approach speed to meet VREF and adjust the flare to achieve touchdown within the designated zone, thereby eliminating the overshoot beyond the touchdown point.
