Fixing the bounce
Fast at the threshold, normal flare, and the runway seems to refuse the aircraft. The instinctive fix - pushing it on - causes the next one. A fast aircraft forced onto the runway touches nosewheel-first or nearly so. The tell is a touchdown that feels soft followed by a bounce that steepens. Pilots fix the bounce recovery; the cause was the 10 knots at the threshold.

One stabilised approach gate for a circuit: seven checks where the approach path is 300 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate is an instrument-approach check and does not apply. These checks are the approach's score.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,866 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 316 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The TL3000 Sirius taxied to runway 23 at EGPE Inverness Airport and commenced the departure roll, achieving a take-off distance of 196 m (11 % of the runway) and lifting off at 62 kt.
Following liftoff, the aircraft entered a right-hand pattern from runway 23, covering less than 1 nm in 37 seconds.
The right-hand pattern crosswind leg was flown from runway 23, also less than 1 nm and completed in 11 seconds.
During the downwind turn the aircraft described a 55.1° angle to the runway over a distance of 1 nm.
The downwind leg extended 2 nm and was flown in 91 seconds.
A base-leg turn was executed with a 49.2° angle to the runway, covering 1 nm.
The base leg itself was less than 1 nm and lasted 44 seconds.
The final turn to the runway was less than 1 nm and required 28 seconds.
On final approach to runway 23 the aircraft descended from 346 ft agl to 34 ft agl in 58 seconds, meeting the stabilisation gates.
Touchdown occurred on runway 23 with a threshold speed of 52 kt, a touchdown distance of 314 m, a touchdown speed of 43 kt, and a touchdown rate of minus 54 fpm; alignment was reported as perfect and the total landing distance was 470 m (25 % of the runway).
Rollout proceeded along the runway with perfect alignment, after which the flight concluded.
In total the flight covered 7 nm, the summed segment times amount to 269 seconds (approximately 4 minutes 29 seconds), and fuel consumption was recorded as 1 kg.
The aircraft TL3000 Sirius began its final approach to runway 23 at EGPE Inverness Airport, descending from 346 ft agl to 34 ft agl in 58 seconds and receiving a stabilisation-gate score.
During the threshold and flare phase the aircraft achieved a good threshold height and a threshold speed of 52 kt, noted as slightly below target.
Touchdown occurred 314 m down the runway at a speed of 43 kt, described as a little fast, with a vertical rate of -54 fpm rated excellent and runway touchdown alignment perfect.
The rollout covered a total landing distance of 470 m, representing 25 % of the 1,866 m runway, and runway rollout alignment was perfect.
To convert the high-score performance into an even tighter margin, adjust the approach to reach the target threshold speed and reduce touchdown speed slightly toward the intended VREF, which will further optimise the landing profile.
