MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Shorten the long landing
Ground effect becomes significant below about one wingspan of height. A Cessna 172, with a 36 ft span, enters ground effect at flare height - the float it feels in the hold-off is ground effect arriving on cue. An A320, with a span around 117 ft, has been in ground effect since before the threshold and there is no sudden cushion to feel, only a gradual reduction in induced drag that lengthens any float you allow.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 1,524 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 1,184 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Great job on your aircraft landing score of 58.9%! Let's break down your performance in each phase of the landing and see where you excelled and where you have room for improvement.
In the Approach Phase, you did an excellent job with glideslope alignment and maintaining a good speed above the target. This shows that you have good control and awareness during the descent towards the runway.
Moving on to the Landing Phase, you had a good threshold height but there was an issue with the landing flare. This is an important aspect of the landing process as it helps to ensure a smooth touchdown. Working on your flare technique will help improve your landings in the future.
In the Touchdown Phase, you had a smooth touchdown rate and were able to maintain a speed above the target. However, the touchdown point was excessively long, using more than 75% of the available runway. Additionally, your runway touchdown position was quite far from the centerline at 61.3 meters. Paying attention to these areas will help you improve your landing accuracy.
Lastly, in the Rollout Phase, your runway alignment was off at 81.9 meters from the centerline. Improving your alignment during this phase will help you maintain control and stay centered on the runway as you come to a stop.
Overall, you have shown skill and proficiency in certain aspects of the landing process, but there are areas that can be improved upon to increase your landing score. Keep practicing and focusing on those key areas, and I have no doubt that you will continue to improve and achieve even higher scores in the future. Keep up the good work!
